Alyssa’s lips curled upwards, but a hand instinctively moved up to her left ear as his eyes fixed on it. “Okay. I’ll bring that over then Sir. Anything else?” She fiddled with her ear, before realizing that there was nothing odd about it. Not to her anyway.
He shifted his gaze away when her hand moved into his eye-line, shuffling his feet a little.
“Thank you. Yes, um-... Do you d-do tea?”

“I realise you don’t know me, but please help me, I think I’m going to pass out.” “I’m sorry to interrupt, but I saw someone put something in your drink. You didn’t drink from it already, did you?” “I got robbed and have no way of getting home. They got my phone, so I can’t call anyone. Could I please borrow your phone?” “Shit! Sorry, I didn’t see you there… Are you okay?” “Charlie! Imagine seeing you here!– Oh. Wait, you aren’t Charlie…” “Excuse me, I was looking to get my girlfriend a bra, could you help me– You’re not the shop assistant, are you?” “Watch out for that truck!” “Is this your wallet?” “You look very different to your profile picture…” “Look out where you’re going, asshole!” “Did you see that?! He had a gun.” “Are you the girl/guy from So You Think You Can Dance?!” “Err– I’m sorry to interrupt, but I was just walking behind you and I think you must have sat in something…” “I know I don’t know you and this might sound really strange, but do you have a room or a spare settee or something I could crash on? I could pay you… I just… I really need someone to help me out right now.” “HELP ME!” “Oh my god, are you okay? I’m calling the police. I think I saw who did this to you.” “Are you alright? You look really pale.” “The whole street is blocked off. The police won’t tell us anything, but I think there’s been some kind of attack… Maybe a bomb?” ”Have you lost something? Can I help?” “Are you okay? Did someone hurt you?”.
She noted his movements and his lack of eye contact, but she didn’t make any comment, believing it would be rude. “Yes of course. Are you staying in or taking out?”
“I-” He looked over his shoulder, taking a moment to decide that there weren’t too many people, and there was a corner table he could comfortably sit in. He turned back to her, looking at her left ear rather than her eyes, and he nodded. “Y-yes.”
“Pimms, Alan. The alcoholic drink.”
“I, uh-... I don’t know a lot about alcohol. I d-don’t really like it, to be honest... If I have a b-beer I just, um, sip at the foam...”
“What does Pimms, um, taste like?”

It took him a few moments to register what was going on.
“No, Alan. Pimms. It’s time for Pimms.”
Alan blinked at him, head tilted curiously.
“What’s Pimms?”
Alyssa looked at the man and chuckled slightly, gesturing towards the menu that hung behind her in the cafe. “Would you like anything Sir?”
“Oh.” Alan blinked, looking over the menu and idly picking at he skin around his nails as he did so. “Um... Do you h-have any apples?” He asked, not looking at her.

“W-what?”

“I didn’t understand a word you said.” Even if Greg tried to make it seem like he did, he knew the look on his face was just too confused to be believable.
“I-....” Alan sighed, rubbing the back of his neck as he avoided the man’s gaze. Eye contact was not his forte.
“B-basically, um-... Just- Just t-think artificial in-in-intelligence.”
The sun is shining, that calls for day time drinking.
“Pimm’s O’ Clock?”
Alan looked up from his book, checking his watch before looking in Harry’s direction. “N-no, it’s six twenty.”
“W-what time is ‘Pimm’s’? Have I m-missed something?”

“C-can I, um, help you with something?”

“W-well...”
“Not really...”
“Why- why are you k-kicking me?”
“Don’t-!”
“D-don’t, please- P-p-please!”
