The most iconic goth moment of all time is when Bela Lugosi was buried in his Dracula cape and suit in 1956 during his open-casket funeral. Toward the end of his life he was starring in low-budget Ed Wood slop and living in poverty with a morphine and methadone addiction, but in death his family buried him in accordance to his wishes and he finally achieved peace.
