Today is Transgender Day of Visibility, the first one I have the privilege of being visibly trans for. Over the last year I've lost friends, found myself, become friends with people who inspire me and I've had people tell me I inspired them. I owe these opportunities and so many more to the people brave enough to come out and stand strong in their identities in times and places it wasn't as safe to do so. I couldn't possibly be more happy with the person I'm becoming and the friends and community I've gained through it.
