Tumblr is such a weird place for me.

Like I was here from the beginning. (I feel like Bane typing that.) I met some pretty amazing people here, including my late husband. For a long time it felt like home but it just doesn't anymore.

As a teen and young adult I used it as a place to share angst. As I get older it's mostly just memes (which is amusing in its own right ha) which is why this website is so.... Dead.

I've started another blog that I plan on updating every T/TH/Sat since I'm wanting to use it to pitch myself for freelance writing. Message me (or comment) if you want the link.

so apparently somebody leaked to the media that ed and cherry were engaged and the press were planning on publishing the story yesterday whether ed said something or not. there aren’t words to describe how upset and heartbroken and angry i am that this happened to ed. yes, i was sad when his announcement of msg, multiply, and wembley were all ruined by the media, but this is much worse and completely different. an engagement is extremely personal and special, especially to ed who has repeatedly expressed how excited he was to get married and have a family. this isn’t information that ed should have been pressured into sharing with the world. it was private and he should have been able to share it when he wanted. i’m so sad that the media has decided to be this invasive to ed and i hope he’s okay and that he knows that his fans are happy with whatever he chooses or does not choose to share with the public :(

I hate that this is why he decided to share, and I hope that in SPITE of it, he’s seen how happy we are for him. Media Assholes can SUCK it 😡

awe my heart just fell this makes me so sad because this is his life and it has nothing to do with his music. how could someone do that and be so okay with it? this is his moment and whether he chooses to share it should be up to him. i just hope it didn’t ruin it for him or take away from the moment or mood

What I don’t understand is what did this “journalist” expected to happen? Why did you let them know you’re breaking the news for? Is it a legal reason or something? He’s frustrated but, isn’t it obvious if you’re letting them know that they are gonna do something about it? This is mean AND stupid.

You know what I don’t blame the boy at all for wanting to step away from music once he has a family. This is just pathetic and sad and the fact that he was pretty much told the world’s going to know whether you like it or not is sickening.

Just because he’s a household name doesn’t mean he doesn’t get basic human rights like privacy.
