Hi, welcome to my blog! I'm 19 years old and I actually got to meet the sweet boy once and he was so so so warm and soft and perfect.

The Ed blogs i know on here have been so inactive compared to before. Everytime i see an ed update/pic on IG and I wanted to comment something, i come on tumblr hoping i could reblog the same pic but i find none of it, and i’m too lazy to make a new post on my own 😂 No energy to create ed gifs and posts anymore, i can only reblog lol. Used to spend my time screenshotting and making ed gifs, and creating hyperlinks to this and that..

damn i miss those times, and when everyone i knew here was really active. Man, the follow trains, adding dumb comments to each reblogs, tagging blogs and answering each ask in those 100 questions ask posts, crop parts of ed we thought were sexy 😂, and the sheerio selfie nights! Gosh they were the best haha. Is there no new active ed blogs or have i just not been following them. Also maybe my energy to keep up and follow has died down a little.

But I found back my love for Tumblr, away from all the other tiring social medias, and i guess i’ll be sticking around here for quite some time till one day i get bored of it again.

I saw him say in 2 interviews today that he is still on the fence about using a band on tour. He doesn’t know if the loop pedal is His Thing or just a thing he does. He did say he LOVES going out there alone with just the loop.

I mean...ED. You’re the only person in the entire world who plays to sold out stadiums alone with just a loop...and KILLS it, of course. It YOUR THING, honey! ❤️

I’m not going to lie, I felt such a sigh of relief when I saw how hesitant he was about the band. Of course, the band is talented and it sounds good, but I think that him being up there by himself is his major selling point. There’s no other artist that does an entire show by themself and does it as well as ed. I feel like that’s the magical part that sticks with every person is that he’s able to hold thousands of people in the palm of his hand without all of the extra stuff all around him. He is a powerhouse on his own and that’s what draws ever single person in (even the superdads and boyfriends).

So. Here's something I didn't pick up on, and another theory/correlation from the images and comments he dropped today!!

Look at the pic. There is an Equals Easter egg. There is a Subtract sign up there. Spray painted on the building is "They" - defined as TWO or more people or things. Two. Double.

Also, his comment on Thomas' Instagram! ".. But you haven't come to terms with it yet."

TermS. With an S, multiple. As in Math terms perhaps - Equals AND Subtract??

I think we're looking at a double album!!

I’m putting this under a read more cuz I don’t want to bring down anyone who is only feeling pure excitement right now. But I did want to talk about why I’m not.

I watched the performance of Castle on the Hill. And yes, it sounded good. But it also kinda sounded forgettable to me? As in, it sounds just like any other song I’ve seen performed live.

A big part of what made Ed’s live performances SO special to me was, in part, his use of the loop pedal. The build up in the songs, and that it sounded different than anything else I could hear live.

But this was so different. Instead of just Ed, an acoustic guitar, and a loop pedal, now he has a band & back up singers & an electric guitar. (And yes part of that could be my strong preference for acoustic guitar over electric just in general speaking. But still).

Ed playing live has also always felt warm, and intimate, and special. But seeing him with the band didn’t feel like that to me. It felt cold & impersonal & unfeeling to me.

And there was just something so special about seeing Ed all alone on a big stage, and yet somehow he managed to fill the whole stage anyway. But with other people on the stage, there’s not as much room for Ed, if that makes sense.

I could probably learn to live with it if he only uses the band on certain songs (like castle on the hill or thinking out loud, like he said in the interview). But I’ll be so so sad if he uses the band for all of the songs from now on. Some songs just sound so GOOD live with the loop pedal. For example, bloodstream. The album version of bloodstream is great, but I wouldn’t name it as my favorite Ed song. It’s probably not even my favorite on X. But if I am hearing Bloodstream played LIVE, then it suddenly catapults to the top of the list to become my absolute favorite Ed song. I LOVE how bloodstream sounds when Ed plays it live. And it will NOT be the same with a band.

So yeah idk. I guess I’m just feeling a little sad. Like knowing it’s possible that I might have already seen Ed play by himself for the last time, without knowing it was the last time.

I'm actually feeling a bit sad - We're all losing our minds thinking a new era is upon us, and it might just be a movie song? I'm ALWAYS excited for new music, but. I wanna know so I can temper my expectations.

I think that it has to be a new era or album because this picture also has the 6/25 on the head of the guitar. If you zoom in you can see 6-25 on the guitar and I don’t think think vampires and Pokemon can be connected in any way.

Wow, this one really got me. With such a tough year and the heavy ed shaped hole in my heart there’s something so comforting about the warmth and normalcy of hearing his voice. It reminds me of the best days pre-covid and the better days to look forward to post covid. Miss this boy a little extra after hearing this and am slowly counting down the days till he comes back.

I never thought that a singer and his songs could mean so much to me. i don’t start screaming with joy anymore when i hear Ed’s songs on the radio, probably because I’m older now and have a husband. But when i hear ed’s songs on the radio i start smiling, i smile because i think back to the crazy time i watched all of his tv appearances, when i stayed up late at night just to watch the grammys. When me and my best friend went to the cinema to see jumpers for goalposts or when I got my Ed Sheeran tattoo, when the needle made the first stitch, photograph was played on the Radio. I smile because i think of all the great people i met through ed and his songs.  I no longer post about Ed every day and there are days when I am not interested in him either. But I can never completely forget him and his songs :) He will forever be my favorite ginger

Ed is married and has a daughter, and even if I don’t know him personally, I’m damn proud of him. He’s not cocky, He’s isnt an arrogant jerk he’s never been mean to his fans, and most importantly, he’s always been true to himself. 

 So, Happy Birthday Ed Sheeran
