Mad Max: Fury Road
âWhat a lovely day!â is how I was feeling walking into the movie theater getting ready to watch this continuation of the classic series from the 1980s. After the end credits rolled, I was not feeling exactly the same way. I guess I must like the original story better than this adaptation.Â
As far as the special effects and visual aesthetics go, this movie is phenomenal. But, if you wanted to base this movie off of the character portrayal it would not be Tom Hardyâs best effort. He does the role justice, he just has very few lines throughout the movie. He narrates the movie in parts but he grunts for most of the movie. This is exactly what was needed to make Max look like the dog that he is in this scenario but a little more dialogue would have been better for my taste. Iâm just one critic though!! It was an excellent movie and I enjoyed it. Charlize Theron, as usual was great as Imperator Furiosa.
Overall, I would say to wait until this movie comes out on Netflix to see it for yourself. As a matter of fact, watch the 1980 original movie, Mad Max with Mel Gibson first. The plot is rather different and shows a normal side to Max before he turned into the ravage dog he is now. But, definitely watch this movie at some point, it is a great movie.
