[đ„]âFor my birth father, I couldnât pick. I picked up so much I know from him. He raised me on his own, and still managed to do a great job. I still wonder how he did it, sometimes.â
[đ„]âAs for my adopted father, definitely everything he taught me about combat. He believed in my dream to honor my biological fatherâs name, and provided me with all the resources I needed to do just that.â

Hey, you! Are you a man with a terrible sense of humor, a strange need to build a deck, and an appreciation for a cookout! So do we! It didnât surprise him that theyâd been so easy to find. They were crows, after all; all he had to do was find a good perching spot. The challenging part, however, was finding one that was alone.
As much as he wanted to, he couldnât take home every one he met. He just didnât have the space. Taking one that was part of a murder was a bad idea, too; theyâd just want to bring all their friends along. As lovely as a family gathering every morning sounded, he was sure that his neighbors wouldnât appreciate itâŠ
So, the search began.
He spent several hours wandering Sector 003, avoiding the gang activity as much as possible. He watched the birds quietly as he walked; learning their behavior patterns and intelligence. They werenât unlike a regular crow; if anything they just looked different. Approaching the perch heâd finally chosen, he heaved a sigh. Masters, he hoped this workedâŠ
Sitting down and crossing his legs in one swift motion, he pulled a bag of bird treats out of his satchel. With a quick flick of his wrist, he scattered the seeds, dehydrated peas, and the like across the ground. In a matter of moments, a flock of the Pokemon landed around him, taking full advantage of the free food. He watched them peacefully, not wanting to disturb them. It wasnât until he set an old bracelet in front of him did he move.
None of the murder seemed to notice, finally flying off when they were satisfied with their snack. Raven furrowed his brow, admittedly a bit disappointed. Just as he was about to get ready, however, something caught his attention. One last bird, using various means to hop her way up to him. From pulling herself up on a rope to hopping along different platforms, she seemed to prefer this to actually flying. Soon enough, she hopped over to him. It was then he saw the scars, and the graying feathers.
[đ„] â... Hello.â
âHello.â She mimicked back to him.
She tilted her head towards him, hopping closer to him. She stared at the bracelet, before picking it up in her beak. Raven expected her to fly away, but instead, she hopped into his lap, sitting herself down as if it were her nest.
Blinking in surprise, Raven pulled one of the strange balls the scientists had provided so long ago. Pushing the button in the middle to enlarge it, he held it out to her. She stared, before pecking it and disappearing inside. It shook a few times, before letting out a loud âclickâ.
