Hi there, Followers--WHOA so many of you now, wow! Where did you all come from?! Gosh. o_O I am awed and honoured. I’m afraid been a long time since Taiga and I had anything new to scan and share, but I’m happy to see the old scans are still being enjoyed. :D

Lmao I’ve been still kinda avoiding this blog since I never got past starting D5 and have managed to avoid spoilers, SOMEHOW. XD I’ve done so well, I’d like to keep it that way. One day I’ll have a PS4. ;A;

I live! Sorta. Been just lurkin’ around as of late cause, well, guess haven’t been in a tumblr mood lately. lol Also been trying to make sure I don’t accidentally see D5 Spoilers... since I am REALLY good at stumbling over things even when I am SUPER careful, so. lol

Anyhoo, been poking around more again lately and decided perhaps time I made a new personal blog for my not!Disgaea fangirling and what-not.

SO if you’re here for Disgaea... you’re good. You can ignore this. I’m SURE in the coming months, as Disgaea 5′s release nears, there will be much more Disgaea-y activity outta me again. lol

Help needed for a poor fur baby

Hi everyone, I’m hoping to raise some funds for my mom. Her fur baby of 12 years, a little Chihuahua named Angel needed to go to the vet today because of an infection in her jaw. She needs to get 3 of her teeth pulled and meds for the infection. The vet bill is $1100 and she doesn’t make nearly enough to cover the cost.

I have provided as much as I can but working 20 hours a week making min wage doesn’t even cover my cost of living. Hum... this interview is actually sounding pretty interesting. Hope more actual translation of it will appear. From what I can garner from chrome's mangling...

- Yeah, the President here confirms Disgaea 5 cannot be ported to the Vita.

- That yeah, the high resolution sprites actually eat the PS3's memory capacity really quickly, because it's displaying each character animation. At best the PS3 could comfortably handle 30 bodies on screen, where as, as previously stated, the PS4 easily can handle over 100.

- So sounds like they want to take advantage of that, especially with the war theme going on in the game.

- And they are exploring how to use remote play and the share features... though think he also says something like they might not be able to do anything really interesting. lol

- Yes, it is feeling rather more serious than previous titles. But because it's Disgaea there will be tears and laughter at pivotal points. And speaks of the game being larger in volume to cover growth of the characters, "past events" (flashbacks? lol), a variety of stories, passion for the mc and such.

- And the interviewer points out the main reminds him a bit of Adell, and president says yeah, he is a little, but he speaks of Adell's hot bloodedness (lol) and how the new mc is... more blue? lol Cooler I guess.

- They ask about Asagi's game!!! but I can't figure out quite what the response is... if it's a yeah it's happening or... what.

- Other than wanting to continue Criminal Girls (siiigh..) he's interested in doing more with the The Witch and the Hundred Knight! =Oa

That's the gist of what I could get... but course this is just trying to make heads or tails from some dumb autotranslate, so take as a grain of salt. lol

NIS has another PS4 game in development

Disgaea 5 isn’t the only PlayStation 4 game in development at Nippon Ichi Software, company president Sohei Shinkawa told 4Gamer.net.

“We’re already preparing [another title] for PlayStation 4,” Shinkawa said. “So, to fans of Nippon Ichi Software, if you buy a PlayStation 4 to play Disgaea 5, rest assured that we’re preparing other titles coming afterward.”

Shinkawa notes that there are risks for making this sort of move, however.

“If, for example, we’re off our release schedule by even a week, that’s enough to affect our performance for this quarter,” Shinkawa said. “But when you look at it in the long term, it’s really important for a small company like ours to take that initiative of putting out PS4 games with this sort of timing that we’ve got going, so when it comes to console projects moving forward, we’re looking to transition into development for the PS4.”

Disgaea 5 is due out for PlayStation 4 in Japan on March 26.

I’m so hoping this is Asagi’s game. If not, then hopefully a sequel to one of their other games that is not Criminal Girls? And if it’s a new IP, then hopefully it’s another good one.

Yeah, during the Makai Wars live concert. Honestly, if after all that, Asagi doesn’t get her game, I’m gonna cry. I don’t care about her running gag going kaput if that happens. They held a freaking concert to say that her game is in the works. Besides, they could always make up a new one like her invading other games so she can get a sequel.

Is there anyone actually happy about Disgaea5?

I’ve only seen negativity about it on here. (From my dash, not gone into the tag yet. About to venture into it)

There are definitely a lot of people that are excited, me included. It’s just that some people are upset that Disgaea 5 is pretty much forcing people to get a PS4 when some were hoping they could hold off on it, especially with the graphics being not all that different from D4 and DD2 to warrant the console generation leap. Some might just be burned out after going through another Disgaea every other year and others felt that were disappointed in certain entries in the series so they’re holding their breath (I personally loved all of them and I don’t give a crap about what everyone says about any of them). Also, I think that while everyone is excited, everyone is also holding their excitement till TGS where we’ll start getting a fuller idea of what Disgaea 5 is going to be.

I'm feeling pretty excited! The story looks pretty interesting, imho and the designs are interesting. (Yeah, I don't even mind Mr. MC there. This is Disgaea! What he lacks in style, I'm sure will be made up for in some other way.)

And... I'm okay with having to buy a new console. lol  But I totally bought both my PSP and a PS3 for Disgaea, so I'm not really sore about it and I really understand NIS' reasoning. I mean, apart from what they've said, people don't really get that the PS3 isn't exactly easy to work with. The PS4 moving to a pc type architecture was largely a good thing. (Like the guys of Octodad got a PS4 development kit and it only took them 4 weeks to get the original game ported and working.) It's generally a lot easier to work with a lot of developers have said. Not to mention, let's face it, the PS4 doesn't have a huge offering right now... I'd think making the jump could be really good for them. 

And goodness people are being rather silly to think it'll run on a Vita... given it sounds like, for example, they're probably going to take advantage of the fact the PS4 allows them to have 10 times the amount of characters on screen, given they brought it up. (Hopefully this'll mean the end of a lot of that annoying slow down from sprite count on the screen... I mean, even in the base in DD2, if you put more than 3 characters following Laharl, you'll start seeing it.) The Vita will remote play it, undoubtedly, but if they aren't developing the game to run on PS3, the Vita isn't happening.

Anyways, got a good year to save up, since knowing NISA, we probably won't see it come here till a year from now, at least, so. XD

The Hades Party (our TOTALLY serious FC on Admantoise) totally managed to get our very own Overlord’s Castle Mansion. It’s still a work in progress, but it’s coming together. Got a throne, a Rosen Queen, the mender healer… etc. Still bit sparse though. haha

It is likely that the big red-haired guy would be playable along with the main protagonist in the first chapter, since he is standing the closest to him, followed by the pink-haired girl next.

Er... Apologies, but I think you're reading WAAAAY too much into the positioning here. ^.^;; We saw Almaz really early in Disgaea 3 and he was practically a tiny distant blob that looked like Ash in D3's summer greeting, so, ah ha yeah, I'm pretttty sure positioning means zilch when comes to Harada. lol ^.^;

-The pink-haired girl looks like she is based on the Healer class, given that the similarities they have in designs. When she joins your party, she would more likely be equipped with healing and support skills.

If Valvatorez should have taught us anything, looks mean NOTHING. She could pull out a chainsaw for all we an tell from this picture. lol

-It looks like this game would be released some time around 2016. If you look at the Disgaea D2 summer greeting card, it was released one year before the game came out in 2013. There is a high chance that this game would be released for the PS4.

Actually, long history has shown, when a summer greeting drops in the summer, it leads to info release in the fall, and then the game is released around Febuary-March in Japan of the next year. (Which in this case would be 2015.) Then NISA usually has them localized by either late August or into the fall. So late summer to fall 2015 is likely when it would arrive here, unless they have some production delays that push the Japanese release later.
