They have a contest where, you draw their mascot and you can get a free table. In return though, even if you don’t win, they use all the work they receive on AN merchandise and on their social media. I’m okay with that, but using it and not giving credit is pretty par to the course w them……
I entered their contest every year for 4 years or so?? In order to get a table. Because getting a table there is pretty hard.
2 years ago I was working on a piece for this contest. I was going all out with the BG because they are more likely to award a winner for the cover with a BG. Man on top of it I was in the HOSSSSPITAL while I was working on this thing!! x_x
So I entered it and they ended up asking me if they could use it for “something else specifically” but…. they needed the background removed and a right hand added (because the hand is going off the edge of the picture).
I agreed to edit it if they could tell me what they were using it for. They wouldn’t tell me. So I disagreed to edit my work. So they emailed me back specifically saying, “okay, we’ll use it as is”… which I assumed they meant they wouldn’t edit it.
Months later, I went to the con and I was setting up my table alone, and I was freaking out about preparing, aaaand then across the way I saw the AN merchandise table, where I saw my work on an apron, background removed, with the hand/bottom of the skirt covered up with little sushis.
Queue panic attack!!! I had never been so angry with absolutely nothing I could do about it. Haven’t entered the contest since.
Their artist alley regulations are right bullshit too(sorry AN, but they are). I was #1 on their pro plaza waiting list this year, but I was moved back for people “who already had weekend registrations”. Further more I had to choose between being on being on the pro plaza waiting list and signing up for artist alley (two different things). I couldn’t be on both. (Why?)
Bitch, bitch, bitch, bitch, bitch, bitch. That’s my rant. But that’s AN for you. I know a lot of people who have issues with the way it’s ran beyond the artist community. It desperately needs revamping and rebranding. So all I can do is just suck it up and wait at this point.

I entered two pieces like back in 2005… One of them won for use on a sweater or something for a Winter promo. I think I won like… a guest brunch thing? I went around trying to ask, OKAY, SO. How do I GET this prize? No one seemed to know. Finally, they were like… just go there. In the end though I was running late already that morning (as usual) and just went, F-it. It was a terrible prize for an artist anyways. I have a table to run that, you know, I paid for. I didn’t have time to mess around with long food breaks. It was just more trouble than it was worth.
I think I was meant to get a copy of the sweater too? Never heard diddly squat, or even ever saw it, so donno it ever even got made in the end. lol \O_o/ (This was the art.)
The other art, however, I saw used on various posters and stuff. Cropped, of course, so pretty sure my sig was missing. (This!)
Come on AN… it takes less than a damn minute with the text tool to stick in an “Artwork by: “ line. It’s the LEAST you can do for getting free artwork, sheesh.
So yeah. I carried both pieces in print book for quite a few years and did actually sell a few, at least. lol I never bothered trying to enter again.

Payment - Paypal is my preference. I will provide my paypal email privately. Other options are available to Canadians, but there aren't a lot of payment options from other countries I can accept, beyond international money orders. So, yeah, Paypal is the best option, especially if time is a factor I'm afraid.
Shipping - The big one, that unfortunately keeps getting more and more expensive. Sigh. On the bright side, Canada Post is fairly reliable, and generally things arrive fairly promptly at their destination. For anything that'll fit in a flat envelope, that can stand being squashed and get through the 2cm "lot of doom", to the States can go "light packet" which, depending on weight, can go for $4 (below .150kg) to about $6.50 (below .250) and within Canada it can go oversize lettermail which ranges from $1.50 to $4.50, depending on weight.
If it can't go through the doomed slot, the lowest cost shipping is now Small Packet Airmail, to the States. It starts at about $7.50, and goes up from there, depending on weight and size. Within Canada is regular post, which starts around $8-10.
There are, of course, faster options, but they do cost more. A lot more. Tracked Packet to the states starts at about $15, and Expedited starts around $20, but the options are there to anyone interested.
For anyone outside North America, I'd have to measure/weigh a package and see what CP's rate finder says, but expect to pay a little more than it costs to go to the states. :)

Most of the normal methods of shipping to the states take about a week or so, BUT given Christmas is quickly approaching, it is more likely these things will take an additional week, as such I can make no guarantees that anything sent air mail will arrive in time for Christmas. Within Canada, most things should, except I have noticed oversize lettermail, even within Ontario, is taking over a week currently, for some reason. :/a
Oh and regarding the Pooklets! I'm not sure of cost to the states yet, but within Canada shipping one was $15... and $20 to ship an entire huge box of them. Yeah, I know. WTH. lol Small packet somehow tends to be a little cheaper, so it might be less to the states.

About My Jewelry - Almost everything can be adjusted to fit you! If you aren't sure it'll fit, check the length of something you own that does. :) There's only a few I might not have enough rings to make bigger.
Most of the metals I use are nickel free! The only offenders I use is the occasional clasp (though many I’ve been using lately are nickel free) and bead headpin (the only offender I have left, I believe.) All earring posts I use are said to be nickel free, but if you want to make absolutely sure, I do have a couple pairs of pure sterling silver hooks, that I can switch on for an extra $2.
Most of my chainmail materials come from The Ring Lord, so if you are looking for any information about the metals and processes they use to make their rings, check them out!

SO... yeah. I pretty much finished this over the weekend during the con. Got a few things still to tweak/fix (like Alex up there was meant to be behind Zetta's hair, OOPS.) *quietly updates with fixed version* but largely finished. Finished enough to share. XD

Feeling a little pre-convention tighter on moola than I'd like to be jitters again, lol. ^.^; So thought I'd see if might see if I could pick up a couple drawing commissions again, since they were a huge help before Anime North.
Mostly going for fairly quick things here. More fancy colouring and stuff is something that'd have to wait till post-con. Hips up is more like hips/waist or thighs up ish. lmao.

1. I can draw a lot of styles, as long as I have reference! Obviously I’m better at some than others, but I’m willing to least try?! But there are some fandoms I might politely pass on cause I just wouldn’t feel right drawing from it. lol (Like Homestuck ^.^; ) Any OC characters especially need a reference!
2. I can sketch either digitally or with a pencil! Tell me which you’d prefer!
