always and for ever.
Maybe someday we will be two people meeting again for the first time.

Some feelings are like old, familiar friends. Depression is like that for me.
When the episode starts, it can be slow at first. An intrusive thought: “I don’t want to be here,” but then it’s gone.
You bat it away like a fly or a bad smell. When it hits you fully though, when you’re really in it, it’s everything. It’s who you are, you’re nothing else.
On the outside, you look the same; smiling and pretending is so much work, but inside, it’s a different story. You start to hate yourself. You’re so alone, so unbelievably alone.
And you can be with someone you love, but you’re not really with them.
We think we know what’s going on with other people, but we don’t.
Everyone’s fighting a battle you can’t see. We all have blind spots.
And you know it’s you. You know there is something wrong with you, and it’s exhausting. So g-ddmn shtty and exhausting, and it’s helpless.
It’s a void, and existing takes so much energy, you wanna sink into a hole of nothing where no one talks to you and you don’t have to smile or talk or be.
I’ve been here before, gotten out of it before, but the getting out part becomes the room that you remember but aren’t in. And that’s what’s scary…
…Being back in the room where depression lives, it’s a sharp pain and an overwhelming numbness. I love her. Even in the room, I love her. But being loved takes work too. I don’t have it in me to be loved right now.
Spirited Away (2001) dir. Hayao Miyazaki
ever since you left, I still see you for a split second when I come home, on the couch, looking up at me with that soft, beautiful smile. I still want your love. I still have mine waiting for you.
I don’t just want your body. I want the world that lives inside you.
“who hurt you” me bitch i make bad decisions because i’m stupid
Welcome back self harm thoughts.
Happiness is a trap. It can't last forever.
Let's say you meet the love of your life.
Well, it's still gonna end.
It's inevitable, whether by the slow pull of a disease,
or the shock of loose footing on a hiking trail.
Whether it be the corrosion of two personalities
that reshape each other until they're incompatible,
or maybe the old stranger in a bar
who says the things that need to be said,
to that person, that night.
The point is, happiness always ends.
Best-case scenario. Think about this.
Best case is that you die at the same time.
Yikes.
I always knew the light was too bright to last. Some people build homes, but I only know how to burn them down. It is a pattern. It is all on me. I took everything I loved, my friends, my future, her, and I broke it just to see if it would shatter.
I told her I didn't want a life with kids. I used that lie as a shield while I betrayed her trust. But now? Now the silence is filled with ghosts. I see images of a baby in my arms and her sitting right there, smiling at a version of me that doesn't exist anymore. We matched so perfectly that it scares me.
She was my home. My best friend. My entire world.
Maybe I am delusional. Maybe I just fall in love with the idea of "the one" because I felt this way before. But this time, the regret feels permanent.
Now I am standing at a crossroads of two different ruins. I can take this secret to the grave and let the silence consume me. Or I can tell her the truth. I could destroy her with the honesty of what I did and just hope that from the ashes, she might find a way to forgive me.
I just want to be whole again. I just want to go home.
...and never come back
