And honestly, it was obvious since the beginning that SasuSaku was coming. Like really, Sasuke opening himself to Sakura, Sakura touching the soft spots of Sasuke, Sasuke reading Sakura and vice versa, FOD, Sasuke saying to Naruto "you have to save Sakura no matter what", Sasuke jealous of Sakura, Naruto shipping them, Sakura's first confession, Sasuke thanking her, Sakura getting strong to save Sasuke with Naruto, Sakura's love for Sasuke getting stronger and stronger, eye contacts, their mutual respect for each other, hugs, chapter 685 and 693, the apology and the poke... Come on, it was so obvious. Haters had no excuse.

Wow, if you reread part 1 of Naruto you see how all of Sasuke’s issues were handled by Sakura. Like Sasuke opened up about the night his family was killed. Sakura is the only one besides Kakashi to know about the curse seal. Sakura is the one that hugged him and saved him when their “hearts connected” in the forest of death. Sakura was the ONLY one who knew that Sasuke would leave the village. She was so intune with him that she was there waiting. And Sasuke knew when she was upset and he made sure to cheer her up at the chunnin exams. He was blunt when she needed it. Constructive. Even in his attempt to push people away he would always say something that gave away her importance. He included her, asked her opinion when getting the scrolls. No wonder Sakura was both “you don’t tell me anything” but also being so forward and presumptuous (for Japanese culture) in 181 lol
