Moving to ArtStation

I’ve recently had 3 images of spacecraft tagged as N S F W (I daren’t even put the letters together!) by the wonderfully inept bots at Oath and their clueless masters who got their IT degrees from the Dollar Store. Not to mention the drones in charge of Oath itself, who have turned Yahoo into one of the biggest, most inept jokes on the interweb.

The whole point of this blog is to post my spacecraft artwork. If I can’t do that. then there isn’t much point to this. I had absolutely zero expectation that I would get caught up in this stupid mess.

After arrival in Mars orbit, the lander is undocked and prepared for a surface sortie.

The fleet head out past Luna towards the Red Planet.

Got some more done on the Umbrella ship.

Something else I’m working on at the minute. I’m making a version of Ernst Stuhlinger’s nuclear powered ion Mars ship (AKA ‘The Umbrella Ship’). This was featured in a 1957 Disney series called ‘Mars and Beyond’.

These are different solar panel designs for powering an advanced 3X nested hall thruster vehicle. Two different configurations are shown. One is a radial design, that would be spun to maintain tension on the arrays. The other is a more conventional arrangement. All panels are assumed to be NASA Mega-ROSA roleable arrays.
