Meet OWEN MADAGAN; a NINETEEN year old who resembles PJ LIGUORI. He hails from TINTAGEL, ENGLAND/LLANGOLEN, WALES and lived with his parents MERLIN AND MADAME MIM. Unfortunately, he is UNAVAILABLE.

His story goes like this —
Owen has always been in a position of conflict. His father was usually too involved in other orders of business to spend much time with him, leaving most of his raising to be taken care of his mother. His mother was never too stable to begin with, but when she discovered that apparently no magical powers had been passed onto him, she rejected him completely. Owen became the Madagan’s little secret, forbidden to go outside or to socialize with anyone who came across their home. He spent most of his childhood years in his father’s library, where he immersed himself in reading everything the books had to offer and listening to quite a few of the ‘classic’ records his father had deemed important enough to keep. This was how he first discovered his love of dance, though of course he rarely got a chance to show it off. The days when his father managed to pull himself away from his work to come visit were the best, as he often brought new stories to tell and occasionally snuck Owen away to go on some sort of wild adventure. However good they were, it made his childhood all the more confusing. With two parents sporting wildly different opinions, it seemed he would never get the chance to decide anything for himself.
When Owen was eighteen, his father stopped by again, this time planning to take him away from home and to WDA, if he agreed. It was his first major decision in life, and he can’t say he regrets it.. Though his mother refused to let him attend school at home, the seemingly infinite amount of books of every topic and level gave him a good basis for lessons, so he manages to get good enough grades to please himself and his father. He corresponds with his father through letters, in order to avoid returning home to his lonely library. Around the school, he can usually be found either alone reading in his dorm or out and about, listening to whoever’s willing to talk to him, preferring that to talking for fear he’ll say the wrong thing.. Having been depraved of interaction with people his own age since birth, he finds pretty much everyone interesting, but intimidating. His words are careful and cautious, and he's always considering what the right thing to say might be. He’s been considering joining the drama club as a dancer in their musicals, just to get his passion out there, but he can’t help his stage fright. after so many years of dancing alone. Still, he likes it better out in the big world of the Academy, and he’s always looking for something new to explore.

MAGIC- Owen’s discoverence of this power was a complete accident., which came about just after he had come to the Academy. He was practicing his dancing alone in his room when he opened his eyes to see a stack of books he had left in the corner seemingly dancing in the air towards him. Since that day, he has slowly tried to gain more control over his powers, doing careful experiments to see what he can do. So far, he has made the most advancements over his telekinesis, which hardly ever goes out of control as long as he stays focused and doesn’t let himself get too impulsive. Transformation has been another focused topic, though he hasn’t dared to try it on a person, instead changing simple items like forks into spoons or a pencil into a pen. Lately, he has been thinking more about trying out learning spells and creating potions, but he forces himself to be careful. His biggest fears about his power involve his mother: that she will find out, that his powers could be just as strong, that he could end up just like her. Because of this, he never lets anyone see him practice his skills, not quite trusting enough to give up his secret that willingly.

so i was doing merlin research and i found two places associated with him
one's in england and it looks like a small town which i like but there's another place in wales that a lot of people have claimed to be where he lived most of the time and i don't know where he should be from

also about his power-- magic is such a broad thing and i don't know how to define it? i think i might focus on what abilities he's discovered thus far but idk
so like it's ok to make owen like smart a bit? like he's still going to be a nitwit when it comes to talking to people and all that but with a dad like merlin i figured he'd teach him a few things you know? sort of like an awkward bookworm? i don't know i think it'd be cute
1. I do have gifts, I just can't put them up now. possibly tomorrow, but if not likely on the 29th or 30th
2. if i seem a bit distant or not around as much the next few days it's just because i have a ton of shit going on, and i'm going through a not-so-nice time personally, and dom and maddie leaving admittedly is making me really depressed because of stuff in the past

Uh, well, there is one problem I have. I really want to get presents for Jack, but he's only told me two things that he wants, and one of them is just a kiss! I don't know what else to get him.

No, I don't think so. It's strange but I don't miss home all that much. I'm much more comfortable here. Plus, I've got Jack, and I'm not sure if he's staying, but if he is it'll be nice to get some time with him.
