Fight: How would they feel if their darling fought back?
Angry, upset, annoyed. He wants them to be submissive, they're supposed to beg for his attention and thank him for the privilege of being treated like a living, breathing fleshlight.
Any attempts to fight back will be met with violence, Halson may not be a scrapper like Argus or Locke, but he's more than capable of leaving his victim with a black eye and a split lip.
Game: Is this a game to them? How much would they enjoy watching their darling try to escape?
Most of Halson's relationships are treated like a game and this little... dynamic... is no exception. He thinks it's funny letting them think they can sneak away or signal for help from some lone paparazzo trying to catch pics of Halson's next public meltdown.
But he always finds a way to snuff out that tiny flicker of hope. There's a lot of desperate people out there. People whose silence can be bought.
Ideals: What kind of future do they have in mind for/with their darling?
Quit: If their darling dies, leaves, or successfully escapes, would they ever be able to move on?
If by "moving on" you mean potentially killing himself to be with his darling in the afterlife, then yes, absolutely!
Honestly if his darling simply up and left he'd go wild trying to find them. He's hiring private investigators, stalking them online, calling everyone who knows them again and again and again until they finally block his number. And his burner number. Can you block a payphone number? Because he'll try anything.
The idea of being reunited with the love of his life will consume Argus until it's the only thing he can bring himself to care about. Everything he does from that point forward is with the sole purpose of preparing for them to come "home".
Regret: Would they ever feel guilty about abducting their darling? Would they ever let their darling go?
It's... complicated. Argus is a very unwell person and the tendrils of delusion have wormed their way deep into his grey matter. He will never truly stop and acknowledge just what a monster he is. The ends justify the means. They love him, they just need help to realize that he's their soulmate.
They could trick Argus into giving them more freedom by playing into his delusions. Play the part of a sweet, obedient partner. Act like you're happy and exactly where you want to be. He will eventually let his guard down and they will have an opportunity to flee.
Tears: How do they feel about seeing their darling scream, cry, and/or isolate themselves?
Frustrated. People nowadays don't know how to handle having a REAL man in their midst. Something about weak-ass men and the demonization of masculinity and fuckin' stupid feminists.
He might comfort them. Maybe. His darling certainly won't appreciate it, but when has Argus cared about what they want?
