The best part about being an artist is if I want to have a doll of my favorite wizard of oz characters but I can't have them because no one makes dolls outside of the mgm movie

Then I can just make one!

Imagine if their was an adult animated comedy about the oz books and it starts off episodic but as the episodes go on things get strange at first it's little details then things seem to make no logical sense at all like beyzy dumping water on the witch when she gets sent to oz, the woggle bug and scarecrow dating, scraps being made by the wizard, etc

So button bright the only one who is noticing all this and goes underground and learns that a reality bending fairy named Electra is behind all of this

So now button bright is hoping across the multiverse for a way to set his world right.

Elphaba being an idealist while Glinda is a realist always gets to me. Like you would expect the girl who’s been ostracized all her life for being green to be cynical and think that the world can’t change. But no, Elphie is all starry eyed and hopeful that she can change the world. That she can fix its wrongs and create a better future, not just for her but for every citizen of Oz.

Meanwhile Glinda, the girl who’s had everything, admiration, money, etc, knows how the world is. She knows that the world is led by those who are popular despite their talent or lack thereof. She knows how to play the game, knows the rules of the game, and knows that not playing by those rules will make you an outsider. She’s already resigned to the world as it is.

Tincrow smut fics are so interesting to me depending on the canon you’re going with it either goes like

Baum Tin woodsman feels inadequate because he can’t physically do it like he used to and the scarecrow comforting him about how he didn’t fall in love with him for that and they probably don’t even have sex it’s just a sweet thing and if they do it’s in an odd but sweet fashion

Meanwhile wicked canon is hate sex so strong not even the limits of they’re new biology can stop them

If the calamity trio got sent to Oz instead of Dorothy and Dorothy getting sent to anphibia

Anne would still manage to befriend the scarecrow tin man and lion

Sasha would over throw the witch or work with her

Marcy is vibeing in Glindas castle

Anne unlockes her powers over being pissed that the wizard was a sham

Dorothy becomes hop pop’s favorite sprig and poly are jealous a little while but see her cry to todo about missing Kansas and then start acting nicer to her

The newt king is SUPER nice to her due to the whole alt dimension (manipulation)

Any way the trio find out about amphibian and have to stop the multiverse from being destroyed and help Dorothy and todo get home

How would Gale feel about the wizard of oz

Imagine if an isikai tav gave him a copy of the book

Imagine his feelings of betrayal when he finds out that the wizard isn’t a real wizard

Imagine if he found out the wizard got “redeemed” in the fourth book so for the rest of the series he’s just there

I’d think he’d feel uneasy about Glinda because it reminds him of when he first got chosen

I think he’d relate to the tin man due to the both of them being forced to change for love while being cursed by a female figure

Seeing Ozma be loved just the same even though she changed makes Gale tear up

The fact that Dorothy’s aunt and uncle get to move to Oz and be happy reminds him of his mom

He sees Ozmas court and it reminds him of the party he’s in

The various humans as tav , karlack as jack and scraps shadow heart as Ozma, laezel as the lion , wyll as the scarecrow, astarian as the woggle bug and halsin as the tiger and Ojo

how do you think the love spell would have worked if it was done correctly? I think my favorite interpretation of it is from a fic where his love becomes a physical object that makes him love whoever’s holding it, where he “loses his heart” to Nessa

YESSSS I think I read the one you're talking about.

Personally I love that interpretation too, its perfectly in line with cruel and overly literal ways the Grimmerie seems to cast spells, and we get to keep with the theme of him literally losing his heart from his chest. Great stuff all around.
