i know you’re more into project hail mary right now, but have you heard that the new pota movie isn’t going to be a strict continuation of kingdom?
I've been sitting back thinking about it. I'm sort of in two camps about it like;
If it's a prequel, something that bridges the gap between War and Kingdom would be GREAT. Some more backstory on things like the Ape Colonies being seperated, how they ended up the way they did ( Like, Noa's Clan is literally only Chimps, there's clans of only Bonobos, etc, etc ). Like, we know that Koba's followers end up leaving the Colony and create their own ways outside of Ceasar's teachings. MAN WHAT HAPPENED TO THE ORDER OF CAESAR. Give me more backstory on that PLEASE.
If it is a non-direct sequel, which is honestly really plausible given how Kingdom ended with Humanity touching base with each other, then IDK man. I saw some people say that Noa's story was wrapped up, it was fine, we don't need more but I think structurely, to follow the same Ape the entire time is integral? At least to me? I like to have one character that we see the growth with, like Caesar's because it challenges us as the watcher to bargain with their growth concepts, etc, etc.
All this to say I'm very excited to see what happens and what they decide to do. I'll be watching ( and probably writing ) for it as soon as it comes out.
