I've been trying to get to threads and start more with new mutuals but, I'm still quite upset about everything that's been going on the last two days so I might be in and out the next week or so. I'm sorry. But I promise I'm not neglecting my current threads, just taking a tiny break.
The monster let out a huge roar, charging at Jisung with full force. He dodged the sharp tusks with ease, using a bolt of lightning to slice through it entirely as he moved alongside it. He was always one for efficiency in hunting, three attacks and the monster was dissipating into a dark smoke. Through it, he saw his new friend lying there on the ground and he ran to him.
“Are you okay?” He asked, reaching a hand out to help him up.
It was all so surreal to the lilac haired teen, it felt like he was stuck in some type of horror movie yet- he didn't remember falling asleep. Chenle was speechless, the whole ordeal had him seated with wide eyes along with a frame that trembled just slightly, enough to be noticed once close to the boy. He wore the color pink among his cheeks and the tip of his nose, as if he was on the verge of crying. Though he wore a tough demeanor, he was just a teen.
"No.. yeah." He murmured, taking the others hand Chenle slowly pulled himself up, though he didn't release their palm just yet, truth be told he felt safer with them close by. "Is this.. what was that?"

Goodbye angel
☼ Felix’s husky voice is lost to him as he listens to his elder, nodding in understanding as he’s tugged to his feet. Their hands were still tangled together, lithe digits weaved perfectly to fit in Jaemin’s. He was thankful for the hand, but couldn’t hide the pathetic pout as Jae pulled away from him. Though, that expression melted away at the sound of his friend’s laughter— it kept him grounded and gave him the confidence and general comfort to smiled at the light teasing. He didn’t care much about what their friend’s thought, hell, half the time they were made fun of for being too parental to each other. They looked out for one another. They just cared immensely. “I don’t mind—” the younger mumbles out, gluing himself to the elder’s side as they left the bathroom. Felix’s watery gaze provoked some concern from the other’s, but his close proximity to Jaemin had also drawn out some cat calls. Felix just laughs, trying to hide his flush face in the other’s shoulder. He quietly tells everyone goodnight, and was happy to leave the stuffy apartment in pursuit for their own little space. “
“Of course you don’t mind, not to expose you but I’m pretty sure you’d love to be with me.” And there he is, again- poking at the younger in a playful manner with his words. There was plenty of noise around the pair, but the noises because of them seemed to draw out a sheepish smile from Jaemin. It was so extra of him, pulling Felix as close to him as possible while they padded their way out of the apartment; he bid his goodbyes, rolling orbs at the few people whistling. The hand that once held the youngers own slipped from it’s position to instead wrap around their waist. Trying to keep their frames as close as possible due to the colder temperatures outside, and the fact he tended to feel more content when being close to Felix.
the apology seemed half hearted, and samantha just wasn’t having it. cue her ‘rich girl privilege.’ she felt entitled to getting whatever she wanted and it kicked in, especially with how annoyed she was for, not no reason, but for something she couldn’t help. it was a public library and she didn’t want to make a scene. their laughs seemed to be taunting her, almost provoking her to throw a tantrum. but she was better than that. or so she thought.
“you guys are seriously being so rude right now. i have an exam to study for, so could you just keep it down?”
Geez, Jeno could only imagine the type of life this girl lived I mean come on, only the librarians got picky about who was speaking in the library. Unless you were some uptight snob- which by the looks of the stranger so far, she seemed to be one.
Jaemin sat up in his seat, gently nudging his brothers arm while he spoke. “I mean, you sound really stressed out already. Maybe it’s time for a study break?” By the look Jeno gave his sibling, you could easily tell the pair had something in mind already. Beaming brown eyes looked up to the female, Jaemin practically sprung from his seat followed by Jeno just after. Though they weren’t actually related nor twins at all, they sure did act like it. “Let’s face it, studying is pretty damn boring right?”
“Knock that off,” he chided her yet again. Johnny hadn’t gotten his answer, but by the way she was acting, he figured that was a good enough indication on what the answer would be. For the umpteenth time that night, he sighed while trying to get her fully supported. It was from there that he started walking back to his car, for which he was mostly silent for the duration of, practically carrying her whole weight along the way. He didn’t particularly mind, in fact he’d rather it be him here instead of no one. Silently hoping the guy would still be outside of the club looking for her, and silently hoping that he could pick a fight with him. When they made it, he unlocked his car, and to his best ability to be gentle – put her in the front seat. “Stay here, would ya’?” This time he locked her in the car, while he went to fetch her shoes from the front of the club.
Much to his surprise, the despicable male was nowhere near, that he could see anyways. So, he headed back for the car, flopping in the drivers seat and throwing her shoes in the back seat. “What do you want to eat?”
Though he couldn’t exactly see it, the expression Jinsoul wore was very appreciative; the girl was actually smiling while in her daze, clinging onto the male for dear life up until they made it to the males vehicle. With one arm out to keep herself up she helped the other get herself into the passenger seat, knees coming up to her chest and arms staying firmly wrapped around them; it seemed like a childish way to sit but at the moment her stomach was churning and it helped just the slightest.
“Do I have a choice?” The girl murmured as the door shut, she felt locking the doors was fairly unnecessary but then again, she was very sporadic when it came to certain situations. Plus she was intoxicated after all, and making decisions probably wasn’t her strong trait. Jinsoul turned her frame towards the drivers side of the car, head tilted upwards so she could watch as Johnny entered. “I want a milkshake.” The first thing to come to her mind was what she blurted out, lashes fluttering while she offered the boy a warm smile. “Cookies and cream milkshake, those are bomb.”
As much as Joohwan was willing to pretend he didn’t know the younger boy’s eyes had been tearing up to actually cry, he was still worried about him. The small smile was enough to comfort the older man though, letting him breathe a little easier. He pulled back just a little to watch as the boy typed his words. Sometimes, the nurse wanted to get to hear what Jisung sounded like, but he also cared enough about him to know that asking for something like that was wrong.
“A cold? Getting your leg slashed open wasn’t enough, you had to go out and get a fucking cold too?” The words came out instantly, and Joohwan knew the blue-haired boy had known exactly what he was doing when he’d typed those words on his phone. Still, he couldn’t help but return the smile that Jisung granted him, standing up with a little shake of his head. Joohwan walked a few feet away to get his kit, where he kept the stitches for situations like this.
“You’re an idiot, you know that?” He grumbled as he came back and settled himself in a chair opposite Jisung, patting his legs. “Prop it up here. I’m going to disinfect it and stitch it, and you, stupid, will learn to be more careful next time because what if I’m not here someday?” The glare accompanying the words was rather light, considering the bite Joohwan’s gaze usually held.
It’d worked like a charm, and had Jisung snuggling back into the chair with a smile of accomplishment; he truly was a child, it showed all over his expression that he somewhat felt it was fun to poke at the elder.
“It’s not my fault, you’re the nurse you’re supposed to make sure I don’t get sick!!” He’s nodding his head, as if he was speaking in a ‘matter-of-fact’ manner. Knowing very well Joohwan did his very best to take care of the reckless teen, and Jisung seemed to do his best to ignore all the directions he was given. He really was a piece of work.
At being called an idiot Jisung feigned an expression of hurt, using his free hand to clutch at his chest while he simultaneously put his leg up on the elders lap before him. “If you’re not here then, I guess I’ll die?” Of course he’s merely teasing, raising his shoulders while wiggling his phone side to side hoping to peeve the elder. Jisung scrunched his nose, pulling his phone back to erase the message and type in another in it’s place. “I’ll do better next time, hyung. I promise.” He meant it, his normally playful expression held a more sincere one this time- pearly whites nibbling at his lower lip in almost a timid manner.
☼ Felix froze as the other reached out and took his hand, finger’s twitching for a moment before allowing them to curl around Jaemin’s own. He grounded himself, focusing on the way his knuckles were caressed— all an attempt to calm the normally happy male down. Sucking in a low breath, Felix manages to glance up at the elder and gave him the smallest smile. They had gone out to a friend’s for some drink and games, a guys night and Felix was normally good in such social situations, but once he got drinking his Korean comprehension got a little fuzzy. Maybe that’s why he was having a hard time out there, he just needed to go home and relax. Clear his head. He was thankful that Jae always spoke so clear, since the language wasn’t his first, “Could…Could we head home? I’m sorry…I know it’s late and inconvenient, but—” his voice was impossibly low, it didn’t fit his foxy like features, “I’d like to leave…”
“Your comfort is not inconvenient, knock it off.” Though his words came out firmly towards the boy, hoping for them to understand that they would never be a burden to him; they held no bite nor malice behind them. There was never a time where Jaemin could genuinely be upset with Felix, it just didn’t happen. He stood, gently tugging on the youngers hands to encourage them to do the same. “Let’s go, be aware we’re probably going to get some weird looks coming out of here considering ” Jaemin teased ever so lightly, a bubbly laugh parting his lips and widening his smile of amusement. With his right hand he slowly detangled their fingers and used his now free hand to open up the bathroom door to lead the pair out.
Minseo knew well that she simply just.. was not the sharpest crayon in the box. Though it certainly did not take a genius to realize that something was just not right here. It was all too worrisome, and it was a situation that the girl never thought she would have to go through. Maybe in the end, it was just her spacey behavior that had caused her to miss something this morning when she left. Right?
She was ready to pull her hand away from his, wanting nothing but to get into her apartment, but that was precisely when he started pulling her down the stairs again. “Wait– Mark–” Him saying ‘because of me’ was something she needed to question before it got too late, this wasn’t his fault– if any it was hers. Unfortunately the loud crash held a halt on her thoughts, and at the same time made her jump. An overwhelming sense of fear washed over her again, and she shuddered.
“You’re not–” her breath caught in her throat, and she pulled away her hands awkwardly to rub the cold sweat that was forming on her hands, then shook them around as if shaking off her panic. “You’re not making any sense, I don’t understand.” They were friends, she understood, but the responsibly wasn’t his. She could stay with one of her band mates or.. something. “My brother would seriously have your head if he found out I was staying with you.” Jiwoon didn’t even know Mark, he might just take her head as well. “Wait–” Quickly she fumbled, with shaky hands, attempting to get her phone out of her pocket. “I seriously haven’t called the cops yet. I’m so stupid.”
“I’d rather have him have mine than yours, who knows maybe he’ll thank me for being a white knight.” Even he didn’t notice it at first, but after a few moments he realized that he was indirectly telling on himself; Minseo had little to no idea what he was talking about or why he was so concerned with something that could probably just be her bad memory.
As he listens to the female he continues to walk, hoping she’d follow of course- but the mention of police. He would get in so many different types of trouble. Stemming from the fact he helped a bunch of minors runaway from a boys home, is living in an illegal dorm, sells drugs, possesses weapons Mark nearly stumbled when turning towards the female, snatching her phone away because his life truly depended on it.
“You can’t I mean, they’ll make a huge deal. And they’ll tell your brother most definitely.” He was awful with thinking of solutions on the spot, trying to cover up the muddy steps he’d made running in here a hot mess filled with too many secrets. It showed in his complexion, his cheeks were flushed the lightest shade of pink; he was nervous and it was making him uncomfortable. Someone could run up on the duo at any second and thinking of it made him want to puke; but nonetheless, Mark would fight for their safety. Be it armed or not, which he was a Ruger tucked away in his back waistband. “Just, trust me. Alright? We have to go.”
The small pained whine that escaped the younger boy’s lips didn’t go unnoticed by Joohwan. It was the only time he ever heard the boy make a sound, when he showed up at his doorstep injured like this. The nurse hated it. There was no way he could get him to take better care of himself either, not when he knew Jisung thought he had to do this, for whatever reason that he wouldn’t share with Joohwan.
The older man had just finished crouching down in front of the boy when he noticed him hunching forward in pain, followed by the glossy quality that filled his eyes. Fuck. “Don’t you dare cry right now Jisung. I swear to high hell I will make these stitches sting more than they should if you do.” The threat was one of the emptiest Joohwan had ever uttered, he would never willingly hurt Jisung more than he’d already been hurt. The man hated himself a little for his own words, when all he really wanted was to tell him he wanted him to take better care of himself.
It only took a moment of hesitation before Joohwan had stood back up and hunched over just enough so he was eye level with the injured boy. He reached over and flicked the pink tip of the others’ nose, a faint smile covering his face. It was his olive branch, hoping that the other didn’t think he was disappointed in him. Because he wasn’t. He was just worried, constantly worried that Jisung would just stop showing up one day because something much worse than a gash on his leg had happened.
He hadn’t planned to try, it was just a natural reflex he was getting due to the trauma his body had endured; Jisung had been beaten all of his life, this was not going to draw such reactions from him. Especially not in front of the other. His nose scrunched to the touch, the action drew a small smile from the boy. Joohwan wasn’t going to stay upset at him for very long, Jisung knew this and it gave the boy a sense of relief.
The blueberry haired boy nodded, sniffling while he did so; silently letting the elder know he was not going to make a scene, he wasn’t a baby after all despite what his brothers and sister told him. Settling himself upwards once more, he brought his cellphone up to be seen so he could communicate with the other more freely. Soft taps could be heard while the boy typed, turning his phone screen around for Joohwan.
“I’m not going to cry, I’m catching a cold.” Knowing the mention of being sick would only push at the elder and possibly bring another abrupt reaction Jisung held a quirky smile, rosy cheeks warming his youthful features. He used his better leg to gently nudge at their knee, in hopes of lightening the once gloomy mood.
“ Why do so many people like cantaloupe? “ Steven asks seemingly no one but himself. “ It feels gross when you bite into it, not to mention, it’s tasteless. It just doesn’t make sense. You know what I mean? “
“Is that the orange fruit or was it green?” The boy is visibly confused, head tipping just the slightest as if he’s debating with himself. “I’ll be honest I’ve never eaten a cantaloupe, so I have no idea what you mean.”
“oddly enough, you’re not the first boy who’s told me that.” for a good 5 seconds, the girl is distracted by his words until she realizes he’s looking over her and she tries to scoot away again. “there’s nothing to peek at! all you’ll find is air! now move it before i start calling for help because you’re way too close to me.”
“It’s because it’s the truth, we boys know what we’re talking about!” He’s childish, laughing through his sentence while continuing to try and figure what she was keeping from him. Jeno widened his eyes at the females response, gesturing out a hand sporadically. “I’ll start screaming too, this is basically child abuse. Or something close to it.”
