the way that i am new to the rp world is embarrassing .. but one question that i have is how to approach other members of the rp to plot without being awkward?

     absolutely  nothing  embarrassing  about  being  new  ,  we’ve  all  been  there  at  some  point  !!  it’s  something  i’ve  only  started  doing  recently  +  i’d  like  to  point  out  that  i  personally  don’t  join  rps  after  they’ve  opened  for  plotting  ,  but  i  wholeheartedly  believe  it’s  best  to  read  through  everyone’s  intros  ,  take  a  look  at  their  wanted  connections  (  most  people  list  a  couple  at  the  end  of  their  intro  /  have  a  page  or  tag  which  is  super  helpful  !!  )  and  message  them  with  an  idea  or  two  already  in  mind  !!  if  you  can’t  come  up  with  anything  more  in  depth  ,  i’d  say  :  look  for  similarities  and  differences  between  your  muses  :  maybe  they  could’ve  gone  to  the  same  school  or  their  siblings  might  know  each  other  ,  maybe  both  muses  love  coffee  &  could  frequent  the  same  cafe  !!  going  off  of  those  little  things  should  also  make  plotting  easier  .  if  you  don’t  really  have  anything  in  mind  ,  but  love  someone’s  muse  ,  you  can  also  tell  them  just  that  &  ask  if  there’s  something  they  might  have  in  mind  !!  i  think  that  as  long  as  you’re  jumping  right  in  (  just  messaging  someone  ‘  hi  ‘  first  is  absolutely  sweet  ,  but  does  slow  down  the  process  a  bit  )  &  are  friendly  and  attentive  ,  plotting  won’t  be  an  awkward  experience  !!!  i  hope  this  helped  at  least  a  little  bit  ,  bab  !!!!

     ◟ *  somewhat  a  follow  up  to  my  connections  masterlist  ,  under  the  read  more  you  will  find  a  list  of  connections  i’d  love  to  see  portrayed  more  in  rps  .  please  ,  keep  in  mind  i’m  going  off  my  own  experiences  ,  so  these  may  not  be  super  original  .  likes  &  reblogs  would  be  appreciated  if  you  found  this  useful  !!

step  /  half  siblings  .  i  feel  like  ‘  patchwork  families  ‘  are  so  common  these  days  ,  my  own  family  included  .  how  does  sharing  only  one  parent  /  not  sharing  blood  at  all  affect  the  relationship  ?  were  they  raised  together  or  only  saw  one  another  every  now  and  again  ?  perhaps  their  parents  only  married  recently  ,  the  two  becoming  step  siblings  in  their  20s  and  trying  to  navigate  that  .

relationships  on  the  verge  of  falling  apart  .  the  final  stages  of  a  long  term  relationships  ,  the  growing  distant  or  desperately  trying  to  cling  onto  something  that  should’ve  ended  ages  ago  .  if  they  live  together  ,  the  moving  out  ,  the  packing  of  things  ,  the  sudden  hesistance  .  is  there  still  love  there  ?  how  has  the  love  changed  since  they  started  dating  ?

cheating  .  not  everyone  is  always  sincere  and  while  i   absolutely  do  not  condone  cheating  .  .  .  it’s  not  uncommon  .  does  the  other  side  know  ?  was  it  frequent  or  a  one  -  time  thing  ?  did  only  one  person  cheat  ?  include  all  three  /  multiple  parties  in  your  plotting  !!

situationships  .  easily  .  .  .  one  of  the  most  common  relationships  my  friends  find  themselves  twisted  in  :  the  ‘  we’re  almost  a  couple  but  we’ll  comfortable  not  defining  it  ‘  phase  .  it  works  for  some  ,  it  doesn’t  for  others  .  where  do  your  muses  stand  ?  are  deep  feelings  involved  ?  are  they  exclusive  ?

actual  loving  relationships  thank  u  .  good  ,  ,  healthy  relationships  are  not  boring  to  write  !!  especially  if  ur  characters  are  real  and  flawed  and  they  have  to  actively  put  in  effort  to  work  out  little  misunderstandings  and  you  get  to  see  them  grow  and  change  together  .

the  person  you  went  on  a  crazy  adventure  with  once  ,  most  likely  drunk  ,  but  you’re  not  really  friends  .  has  happened  to  me  ,  i  only  saw  the  other  girl  once  after  that  .

tinder  dates  .  how  did  it  go  ?  was  there  more  than  one  date  ?  did  one  party  ghost  the  other  ?  kind  of  ties  in  with  the  previous  bulletpoint  as  well  .
