since the rumbling ended and wars ended he threw himself into his work, barely taking care of himself, his face had always been on the chubbier side, those round cheeks when he smiled, but as he grew older and took on more responsibility his face grew gaunt, his cheekbones becoming more visible. not that this made him any less handsome, rather it made him look more grown up and matured, but one could look closely and tell he hadn’t had sleep in the last two days.

you often ran your hands over his cheeks, your touch soft and loving, and he leaned into it, falling into the way your fingers feathered over his skin, and the way your hands were the first to only ever show him love.

you sat with him at his desk frequently, both to make sure he was resting and eating, but also because he found it easier to work while you were around, you motivated him <3

armin arlert’s hands are rough, but not in a bad way. more so in a way that if your hand held his, you would be able to tell his hands have held the burden of duty, and of loss, before they ever had the chance to hold yours. but despite how rough they are, they only ever handle you softly.

his fingers are gentle to brush over your cheeks, glide along your jawline and then to push your chin up to have you meet his eyes. his palms are gentle as they slide over your skin and then press to bring you flush to his chest. his hands are gentle when they keep you close to him, showing through touch just how deeply he cares for you.

as time passes, his hands do grow less calloused and rough, and softer, but nothing will compare to how his hands held you so gently when all they had known were violence before you.
