I'm going to be the first one to dunk on this episode by saying what is even happening? I don't even get the plot? This is not that deep why is everyone saying greatest show of all time? There is not an ounce of scientific possibility in this? What the fuck is happening???

some weak points tho: the animation was kind of rushed, i think the animation was a bit choppy and not matching up fully with the voices.

the storytelling was also slightly choppy, it feels like they mashed things that happened together instead of transitions like it’s a bit too direct i guess? lmao

the episode was overall good for their standards tho. something was accomplished, drama and tension, and obviously lesbians!!! i tell you i woke up the whole neighbourhood when that scene happened i was SCREAMING WITH JOY

(i will not go off on a side rant about how people are more accustomed and prefer gays instead of lesbians because of their own preferences — males tend to support no type of relationship and females gays, because they’re straight and will lean more towards male-centered relationship. not a problem except for when they dismiss lesbians in favor of gays. talking about how bad the entire ‘bl’ thing is next time yall)

solarballs does minimal-ish basic research (ty solarballs discord astro-announcements channel for clearing things up btw) so when the plot gets to theia this is probably gonna show up.

we saw jupiter confessing to causing the collision in wiwrj 3 (i think??), but venus hasn't said anything yet. if solarballs does plot according to wikipedia without any more research and deems this origin as canon we're going to see some psychological effects on venus.

i did more minimal research and venus did not lose its water and ability to support life (?) until one or two billion years after the collision. i think solarballs will link these two things together psychologically - venus feels guilty for the collision, leads to loss of water. guilt can lead to depression, anxiety and a lot of other stuff which can create heavy personality changes that can harm a person.

so my theory here is: solarballs will propose venus' loss of water as a psychological event caused by her guilt for partially causing the theia-earth crash.

imo not very accurate but i'd like to see this happen. solarballs' portrayal of the planets have never sat right with me, i like to regard the mythological aspects of the planets more, like mars is named after the roman god of war, also known as boom boom time and human devastation, but why is he so chill guy coded??

hc that planets have two forms; the physical (sciencey) form and the metaphorical (mythology-y) form. terrible one, not canon imo, but my brain just found a new topic to wrap around so im rolling with this

i'm working on my own entirely separate au that follows about 20% of the solarballs canon bc i have alot of disagreements with it

guys what if sar is either from the universe with sarah roth or he can travel the multiverse, and he used a wormhole to travel to our universe (if i remember correctly there was a blackhole mentioned in something for the movie?? i think????) because he was being produced! in sarah roth's lab! and astrodude will probably try to defeat him and the robot gang using wormholes as well in a future arc/movie
