Honestly this one is ridiculous! I am danish, Hans Christian Andersen who wrote The Little Mermaid, was danish, so this is my culture, my cultural heritage if you will and let me just say this now.. mermaids are not real, they do however exist in folklore all the way from the Nordic countries and down to Africa where they are also known as water spirits. The first official execution of 23 year old Mohsen Shekari, has now taken place in Iran. Not the first execution, as they have been happening for a long time with zero repercussions or accountability. Now another man, 20 year old Ali Moazemi Goudarzi is set to be executed soon. We might be able to save him by spreading awareness and saying his name so say his name!

Getting an education is not a choice, it is a necessity in today’s world. And honestly the fact that America has racked up such high student loan debt and continues to charge teens 100.000s of dollars for their education - which is not even that good - is mad to me??? You won’t allow people to drink before they’re 21, but you’ll allow them to take out MAJOR loans in order to pay for the education they need in order to survive??? What?

The entire situation in Iran is absolutely heart breaking and a true eye opener for the global community.

We, the people, have the power to make change and we the global people must stand with Iran. with the women and men and children of Iran who have fought and continue to fight for their rights and their freedoms, getting arrested, tortured, murdered because of this violent bigotry, this violent misogyny and discrimination, this extreme hate and lack of awareness and education.

We cannot stay silent. We cannot sit by and let a country fall to the religious fanatics comparing women to animals and saying they are for men to use and nothing more.

Spread the word as wide as possible, post videos, make noise so we can help Iran, make noise so we can help the US, make noise so your country does not become next in line to fall victim to right-wing, extremist, religious bigotry, bullshit!

One cannot love the monarchy and simultaneously separate the monarch from the deeds of said monarchy. That is not to say that the queens person was malicious or cruel, but the actions of the British empire happened in her name. These are examples of what happened when you make abortion a matter of medical necessity- with the possibility of penalty ie. Jail time hanging over not only the receivers head, but the medical providers head as well. What is the definition of medical necessity? Does the patient need to be on the brink of death or is the threat of possibly death enough.. all you’ll get from these laws are dead women, dead and unwanted children and a shit ton of trauma.
