I love skyrim modders

I could literally talk about the Mera lore all day jfc i love it so much. I love the idea of someone literally being created for one sole purpose and having to struggle with the realization that their life means nothing beyond that. Them having to MAKE that meaning.

Mera struggled so much with her destiny as dragonborn before she learned the truth because she thought it was unfair that she couldn’t even remember her life that she was fighting for. Her life essentially starts in Helgen (well, her first hazy memories are of the ambush, followed swiftly by a smack to the head). What a world to wake up into. All that fire and ash.

If you're someone who asked me if I'm ever gonna continue my fanfic series the answer is probably not. At least not the big ones. I'm trying to write an original novel now and that takes all my writing energy.

The original plan for my followup fic to Will of the Daedra was going to involve Mera finding out that she’s a divine pawn from Mora. She realizes that the past she was longing to know never exists, and she begins to sympathize more heavily with Miraak who is trapped in Apocrypha with her. He stokes her anger while they’re both stuck as pawns for Mora. I never finalized the full plot, but eventually they were going to kill each other. Miraak can’t let go of his plans, and Mera realizes that as much anger as she has, she can’t let him go through with it. The exact ending is kinda fuzzy, but I liked the idea of them sort of mutually agreeing to end it, since the idea of allowing Mora to control them any longer is less appealing then death. Perhaps they anticipated some divine intervention? Either way, Mera would have a moment to feel the Divine presence as she dies, probably by talking to Talos? I never got that far. But she’d hear it all from the mouth of a god, and wake up back in her body in Skyrim.

Akatosh is her father the same way he is the father of all dragons.

Part of the reason she is not allowed to move on even after she "dies" the first time is because she had deals with Daedric Lords (the plot of the Will of the Daedra fic I wrote on AO3) and has to earn her place among the Divines.

She can die, but will be resurrected until she finally is allowed to stay dead.
