I love Chicago house but I REALLY love the stuff out of New York in the early/ mid 90's #nervousrecords #byronstingily
Bassex records 1994. Los Angeles house music. Metro "here for the love".
Good mornin Riverside.....
I'm not worried at Allllll
Ten things I love about Chicago. 1. It's the cleanest city I've ever been in...by far. 2. You can swim right in the city (in Lake Michigan) 3. Art everywhere. 4. Divvy: the city is not only bike friendly but you can rent a bike on every other corner in a city sponsored program. 5. It's a gay town with two gay neighborhoods. 6. House music: while I was there I got to see an exhibit on the history of Chicago house music (the genres birthplace), a live interview with Phuture who invented acid house and got to visit gramophone records which stocks classic house records from Chicago as well as current records from Detroit, Chicago and beyond. I was completely overwhelmed. It took me two visits to figure out what was going on. 7. The spitting sculptures in millennium park with "kids" of ages and colors literally throwing themselves on the ground rolling around in the water. Absolutely joyful to be part of. 8. The weather. I tend to be light sensitive. I probably shouldn't live in LA its too hot. In Chicago it rained and was cool and still there were swimming days. I loved it. 9. The vibe: it wasn't kinda like New York but with less edge to the vibe. People were mellow and nice. Midwesterny? 10: the hot people in the Michigan street shipping zone. Made me miss New York and all the fashion and attitude. Bonus: tons of outdoor events in parks during the summer and the city is so walkable. I love Chicago.
Fine! I will! See Ya round Chicago. It's been beautiful.
Chicago pigeons don't give a fuck. (This is really far from outside btw) #pigionsdontgiveaflyingfuckaboutyourfeelings
Can you imagine the amount of courage it must take to get up in front of a huge theater full of athletes and give such a vulnerable speech? As they say in my community "you go girl!" #caitlinjenner #espys
Phuture: these guys started acid house. #housemusic #acidhouse

Did you know that Chicago has beaches right in the city? No? Me neither!
