…through the pagan.forest is a landscape study of forests from the regions of Mühlviertel, Waldviertel, the Alps, and their surroundings. The fascination with forests is at the core of the project’s initiators. For several years, they have been collecting drawings, photographs, and projects that go far beyond simple documentation. Due to the geographical location of these areas (especially the NP Šumava, Mühlviertel, and Waldviertel) and their climate, the atmosphere of winter and darkness—sometimes fear-inducing—has remained almost unchanged in certain forest regions. Nowhere else do trees, shrubs, branches, ruins, castles, and rocks appear as cold and dark as they do here. It is precisely this austere simplicity that serves as the means of expression for this project…through dark clearings, across rocky depths, fleeing over frozen grounds, the moon watches the pagan.forest. ....through the pagan forest’ je krajinná studie lesů z území Mühlviertel, Waldviertel, Alp a jejich bližšího okolí. Fascinace lesů stojí ve středu pozornosti iniciátorů tohoto projektu. Již několik let sbírají kresby, forografie a projekty, které nejsou pouhé i dokumentace. Díky geografické poloze těchto oblastí (zvláště Šumava, Mühl- und Waldviertel) ovlivněných jejich podnebím, se v některých určitých lesních regionech atmosféra zimy a temnoty, nahánějící strach, skoro nezměnila. Jako nikde jinde nevypadají stromy, křoviny, větve, ale i zříceniny, hrady a skály tak chladně a temně jako tady.
