Tortulja hadn't been told the name of the man she was being sent to kiss, but she had been told where to find him. There was a tiny bit of anxiety balling up in her stomach, but otherwise she was still in a cheerful mood. She had even brought a sweet roll for whomever was about to receive her affection.
When she entered the Temple, she assumed the man she had been sent for was a priest. Perhaps they could teach her a bit of Restoration. That would be nice... maybe she'd ask.
She allowed the grey magic to lead her through the Temple and to the back rooms, where she gently knocked upon one of the doors. She waited patiently, a smile on her face, for the mystery person to open the door.
The smile and cheer would not last.
It felt as if all of her internal organs had dropped to the floor and she had to put a hand on the table near the door to steady herself as she got somewhat light-headed. She felt ill, but was forced by grey magic to complete the task.
Her face turned dark and she forced a smile that didn't even try to reach her eyes.
"Grey mages," was all she said, but she made no movement. After a second, she leaned forward and barely brushed her lips against his.
Then she pulled away and punched him in the jaw as hard as she could before walking out of the Temple.
He had been expecting a priest, and he pushed the door open quickly, uttering a brief "What do you want now?" before he had the time to see that it was in fact not a priest who had knocked on the door.
"Tort... What a pleasant surprise," he greeted, a forced smile tugging on his lips. The look on her face was priceless, and he carefully eyed her over until she spoke. He shifted his weight, crossed his arms and leaned against the door frame with a shoulder, listening to her rather brief explanation.
He hadn't been expecting the kiss, and didn't act on it; didn't flinch, didn't blink and surely didn't lean into it. He hadn't been expecting the punch either, and he groaned in pain when her fist connected with his jaw.
Luckily, Felix had seen it coming when Tort walked towards the room, and stepped between Silas and his free line to her to prevent him from hurting her. "Go back to bed, Silas," he ordered and pushed his brother back into the room. Silas, of course, tried to push past Felix, but once Tort had left the Temple he let out something akin to a growl and ceased the struggling.
