Wade Wilson

Wade Steven Wilson (born May 20, 1994) is an American convicted double m-rderer who was sentenced to death in Florida in August 2024 for the m-rders of two women. Because he shares the same name as the Marvel character Deadpool (Wade Wilson), the media often refer to him as the "Deadpool Killer."

His case attracted widespread international media attention due to his extensive facial tattoos, including N-zi symbols, and because some social media users began romanticizing him. His story has since been featured in several true crime documentaries, including Handsome Devil: Charming Killer and the second season of Netflix's Worst Ex Ever.

Madeleine McCann

Madeleine "Maddie" McCann is a British girl who disappeared without a trace on May 3, 2007, at the age of three from a holiday apartment in Praia da Luz, Portugal. Her disappearance became one of the most intensively investigated and widely discussed missing person cases in history.

For years, extensive search operations and international campaigns through organizations like Missing People yielded no breakthroughs. Madeleine's parents have never given up hope and continue to run the official Find Madeleine website to keep the public aware.

Michelle Knotek

Michelle "Shelly" Knotek is an American convicted m-rderer from Raymond, Washington. In 2004, she was convicted of second-degree m-rder and first-degree m-nslaughter for her role in the t-rture and deaths of Kathy Loreno and Ronald Woodworth, who lived in her home. Her husband, David Knotek, was convicted of m-rdering their 17-year-old nephew, Shane Watson. Michelle is also suspected of involvement in the death of James McClintock, an elderly man she cared for. She was sentenced to 22 years in prison, served about 18 years, and was released in 2022. Her husband served about 13 years before being released on parole in 2016.

Nikki, Sami, and Tori Knotek are the three biological daughters of Shelly Knotek. Despite growing up in a "house of horrors" and being her very first victims, they developed an unbreakable bond, ultimately escaped, and turned their mother in to the police in 2003.

Sheila LaBarre

Sheila LaBarre is an American m-rderer and suspected serial k-ller currently serving two consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole at the New Hampshire State Prison for Women. She was convicted in 2008 for the gruesome m-rders of two vulnerable men, Kenneth Countie and Michael DeLuge, on her rural farm in Epping, New Hampshire.

Following the discovery of her 2nd victim's body, LaBarre fled to Boston, where she was arrested. During her 2008 trial, her defense team argued that she was legally insane, claiming she suffered from severe delusions and believed she was an avenging angel tasked with punishing p-dophiles. However, the jury rejected this defense, finding her sane and guilty on all charges

Jonestown

The Jonestown m-ssacre took place on November 18, 1978, in Guyana, claiming the lives of 918 followers of the American cult Peoples Temple. Led by the charismatic cult leader Jim Jones, the members—including more than 300 children and minors—drank a fruit-flavored beverage laced with cy-nide.

Although the event is often referred to as "mass s-icide," historians and survivors largely regard it as a mass m-rder, given that many acted under coercion by armed guards or due to manipulation. Until the attacks of September 11, 2001, this represented the single greatest loss of American civilian lives in history.

Rodney Alcala

Rodney Alcala was an American serial killer who was convicted of eight murders involving seven women and one young girl. Despite his violent crimes, he appeared charming and friendly in public.

In 1978, he appeared on the popular TV dating show The Dating Game, where he was introduced as a successful photographer. His confident and witty answers helped him win the show. However, the woman who chose him, Cheryl Bradshaw, later canceled their date because she found him creepy. His appearance on the show later earned him the nickname "The Dating Game Killer."

Jeffrey Dahmer

Jeffrey Dahmer was an American serial k-ller, n-crophile, and c-nnibal, also known as "The Milwaukee Cannibal." Between 1978 and 1991, he m-rdered 17 men and boys. He wanted complete control over his victims and tried to make some of them submissive by damaging their brains, but these attempts resulted in their deaths.

His crimes shocked the world because of their extreme brutality. The case also became well known because of serious mistakes and negligence by the police, who missed several opportunities to stop him earlier.

Aaron Hernandez

Aaron Josef Hernandez was an American football player who played as a tight end for the New England Patriots. Together with Rob Gronkowski and Tom Brady, he was a key part of the team. He played in Super Bowl XLVI in 2012, but the Patriots lost to the New York Giants.

In 2013, Hernandez was arrested for the m-rder of Odin Lloyd. He was immediately released by the Patriots and sentenced to life imprisonment in 2015. While incarcerated, he also stood trial for a 2012 double m-rder but was acquitted of those charges in 2017. A few days after that acquittal, he committed s-icide in prison. Posthumous examination revealed that he suffered from severe brain damage, likely caused by his years-long football career.

The Zodiac Killer

The Zodiac Killer was an unknown serial killer who was active in the San Francisco Bay Area in the United States between late 1968 and October 1969. He m-rdered at least five people and also attacked two people who survived. His victims were primarily couples and a taxi driver, spread across various locations such as Vallejo, Benicia, Napa County, and San Francisco.

What made the case particularly notorious were the letters he sent to newspapers. In these letters, he took responsibility for the m-rders, provided details that only the police could know, and threatened more v!olence and even bombs if his messages were not published. He also included cryptograms; two of these were later solved, but others remain unsolved to this day.

Although multiple suspects were investigated, a definitive perpetrator was never identified. The most well-known suspect was Arthur Leigh Allen, but conclusive evidence was never found. The case was officially declared “inactive” in 2004, but technically remains open and is one of the most famous unsolved crime cases in the world.

Murder trial of O. J. Simpson

The O.J. Simpson trial revolved around the m-rder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman in 1994. The trial took place in 1995 and received enormous worldwide attention, earning it the nickname "the trial of the century." Although the prosecutors had a great deal of forensic evidence, the defense managed to cast doubt on the reliability of the evidence and the conduct of the police. Consequently, the jury acquitted Simpson of both m-rders. However, in 1997, in a civil lawsuit, he was held responsible for the deaths of Brown and Goldman and ordered to pay damages.

The death of Elisa Lam

Canadian tourist Elisa Lam disappeared in late January 2013 during her stay at the Stay on Main in Los Angeles. On February 19, her body was found in a water tank on the hotel's roof. The case received worldwide attention after the police released camera footage showing Elisa behaving strangely in an elevator.

This footage went viral on the internet. The investigation later revealed that her death was an accident. Her bipolar disorder played a significant role in this, as she had not taken her medication correctly. No evidence of a crime was found.

Charles Manson

Charles Manson (1934-2017) was an infamous criminal and cult leader of the Manson Family, he and his cult became notorious due to the m-rders of actress Sharon Tate and the La Bianca family, in what became known as the Tate/La Bianca case.

In 1971, he was sentenced to death, but this was later commuted to life imprisonment. He remained in prison until his death in 2017, and all his efforts to secure his release were extensive. Manson remained a notorious figure with many followers. One of his followers, Leslie Van Houten, was eventually released in 2023 after 50 years of existence.

The murder of Jasmine Fiore

On August 15, 2009, 28-year-old American model Jasmine Fiore was found str-ngled and m-tilated in a suitcase. The police were eventually only able to identify her through the serial numbers of her breast implants. Her husband, Canadian reality TV contestant Ryan Jenkins, was the only suspect. He fled to Canada and committed s-icide eight days later in a hotel room. At the time, Fiore worked as a Playboy model, held a real estate license, and had plans to open her own gym.

Ted Bundy

Ted Bundy (1946–1989) was an American serial k-ller. He was sentenced to death in 1979 and 1980 for multiple m-rders, including those of two female students in Florida and a 12-year-old girl. During his imprisonment, he managed to escape twice.

Bundy was suspected of more than thirty m-rders in various American states. He often lured his victims by posing as someone in need of help or as a police officer. Shortly before his execution, he confessed to more than 30 m-rders, but some estimates put the number of victims at over 100.

Aileen Wuornos

Aileen Carol Wuornos (1956–2002) was an American serial k-ller who m-rdered seven men. She claimed she acted in self-defense after being r-ped or threatened while working as a pr-stitute. She was convicted in Florida in 1992 and eventually sentenced to death six times. On October 9, 2002, she was executed by lethal injection.

Wuornos had a difficult childhood. Her parents abandoned her at a young age, and she grew up with her grandparents. She claimed that she was mistreated and ab-sed as a child. At fourteen, she had a child who was given up for adoption. Later, she worked as a pr-stitute and frequently came into contact with the police. In 1976, she briefly married Lewis Gratz Fell, but the marriage ended after only six weeks.
