I’m starting to imagine your story as a chart- on the right, “On Board With Queen Lilith”; on the left, “Not On Board With Queen Lilith.”

Charlie, Bee, Frederick and Bethesda, and Paimon are firmly on the right side.

Lucifer remains stubbornly on the left side.

I wonder who else will join the right side. I can see Ozzie being enthusiastic, but the other Sins may be hard sells.

I like this chart.

What I find interesting is that the people who end up on the right side of the chart understand Lucifer. People who end up on the left side don’t. So this is a multi-purpose chart, which makes it even better.

Yes, I am implying that Lucifer does not, in fact, understand himself. So that’s fun. Not for him, obviously.

Can i interest you in an imagination game?

If (in the "Another Morning Star" universe) Lilith decided to venture into Hell (for whatever reason) when Charlie was still a child, how would Lucifer have reacted to seeing his lover and meeting their child?

And how would Hell's nobility react to something like that?

Looking at your AU now, I'm sure at least some elements would still be there, to some extent. (*cough* illegitimate heir)

If Lilith had come that soon after Hell was made, she would have had a much easier time becoming queen because the dynamics of Hell were so different. I don’t think it’s been mentioned in the fic yet, but the rings didn’t start out unified under one king. (No it doesn’t get super explained and it’s not really a spoiler so I can explain it here). Essentially, many beings manifested in Hell without Lucifer having to create them. Back when I was planning everything, we didn’t know as much, so I went with a “Hell is a bonsai” sort of situation. He manipulated its development and made things as it grew in addition to what manifested there on its own.

The Sins are an example of that. He found them.

So yeah, it would have been crazy down there in a different way. And the entire plot would have been different. Also the angels that followed him would barely have bat an eye because they were watching him basically create the world and went “Yeah yeah. Uh you can have whatever you want because shits crazy and if she makes you happy? We love it.” It potentially could have created a schism because those that left did so because of what he said/what he represented to them.

As far as Lucifer allowing it… the moment “daughter” left her lips, he would have folded. Also it would only have been a few years since the trial. Charlie aged like a human… so we’re talking like a decade or so max if she’s still a child. He was still so enamored with her and hadn’t been hardened by Hell yet. He would have tried to convince her to go, but he wouldn’t have been so adamant after she talked to him.

So basically the whole plot of Phos would never have happened.

That being said… he probably would have argued heavily that Charlie should stay in Heaven. He would not want his new precious baby girl anywhere near all that mess.

I think it would be an interesting dynamic! Plus I love Sera. I can’t wait to see more of Lilith so we can get a better sense of her character.

So in the trial that got him banished to Hell, Lucifer made himself look like a nefarious villain, made Lilith look like a pawn, and claimed that the whole thing was solely his fault?

… Sheesh, no wonder he and Stolas get along. He probably sang an entire dramatic musical number about it too.

What’s really funny is that I started writing AMS before Mastermind came out and was so excited when that teaser dropped for Satan. I was thrilled that we were gonna see what he was like because I had written the chapter where Lucifer travels to Wrath already, so I was prepared to make some edits if I didn’t get his personality right (and the other sins as well since they all show up in that chapter and in that episode of the show).

I did not expect Stolas to do what he did and I was rolling on the floor like “nooo what??” I love Stolas, honestly. He’s my favorite bird.

do you think the show will ever dive in in what charlie's being and origins? like is she a hellborn or nephilim or something beyond?

I think that’ll happen and I’m so curious what the answers will be. There’s so much fan speculation and theory around it. We might get ideas of that in S3.

what was Lucifer and Eve relationship before and after she ended up in hell in the beginning?

He barely interacted with Adam and Eve in the garden, if at all. He very much became distracted *cough* obsessed *cough* with Lilith. Once Eve was in Hell… well, he sees himself as responsible for that, so he tries to take care of her. A friendship formed and it became complicated after a while.

just read the newest chapter and I gotta say, I loved the political intrigue Lilith faced within the high society of hell. Which begs the question, what was going on inside Paimon's head with this plan of his? And would the rest of the goetia follow suit or not?

I know I’m answering quite late, but Paimon is in charge of the Ars Goetia. That doesn’t mean he can always get them on board with everything, but many of the Fallen are different degrees of loyal to the crown. They believe Hell is better with Lucifer as king versus some of the other options, but… well, they want to get their way and there’s an opportunity that just gracefully plopped in their laps. At least, that’s the perspective. More gets revealed as the story goes

So in your AU, did Lucifer create any of the original Ars Goetia (since we now know canonically he created the Ars Goetia in the show), or are the originals all from Heaven?

If you look in the big book of goetic demons and they have king or queen as their title, then they’re from Heaven. Anyone else was either created/manifested/born. I thought it would be a fun concept that at least some of them were from Heaven! Especially because we didn’t have confirmation of that at the time.

It’s also why I barely mention many of the other angels, because we don’t know how present they’ll be in canon, if at all, or what relationships with the characters we know will be. Also helps to keep the character list manageable 😅

Lilith’s patience with lucifer is insane!!! Will we see a breaking point (could the breaking point have been chapter 16) ? And would charlie be torn between “picking sides” ?
