For the third year running, I've had the opportunity to photograph the newest president of the Rhode Island Veterinary Medical Association (RIVMA). Perhaps the best thing about photographing veterinarians is that you can legitimately and with no intended irony ask them to pose with a parrot on their shoulder.

When you are a 5 foot tall woman possessed with epic amounts of vivacity, gregariousness, and mirth, the creation of headshots can create indecision and insecurity. Do you conform to the glum shades of businessy seriousness commonly seen in corporate headshots or do you own your technicolor personality? Surprise, surprise, Sweet Joy Hachuela, president of The Medici Group, went for technicolor.

Outtake from my recent shoot with Sweet Joy Hachuela at the Medici Group Offices in NYC. This was the last shot of the day and one of my favorites, as often happens. The direction was "Impromptu Dance Party". The gorgeous blouse is from Rhonda Cole's White Shirts Pure and Simple Line that will be coming out in 2015.
