☪ And the merry love to dance. [Event/Open]
Ren left his dorm in a hurry. His excitement went over the top, and he just couldn’t sit there waiting for Asaka to finish getting dressed in her dorm. Asaka had to drop by and assist Ren with his clothing, for the boy was rather hopeless when it came to tying ties and whatnot. Although, Ren was very pleased with his outfit. He had a really interesting mask that had very vibrant red feathers, and as a bonus he had a cape! He felt so cool in it, he wasn’t going to lie. He always wanted to wear a cape, just like the people on Team Unknown. He really adored their attire for the Japan Stage. He wanted to be just like them, since they were so cool; especially that Joker X Vanguard Fighter… Who was he? Ren never found out, and that was pretty disappointing.
Since his impatience got in the way, Ren was already at the ballroom. He spent most of his waiting time goofing off like he usually had done when he was alone. For the most part if he wasn’t engaged in a conversation with some stranger he was sort of a wallflower, sadly. He wanted to dance or do something fun with anyone but some of them were occupied with the people they arrived with. How disappointing! Why couldn’t people pull themselves away from their partner to be social with other people for a few moments? He shook his head at that thought.
Ren expected to see his friends at this ball, but sadly… He didn’t recognize anyone. All the masks, and costumes confused him so much. He couldn’t identify anyone, not even his closest friend if they waltzed up, and said hello. He frowned for he knew the people he had talked to were people he never had met before, and he desperately wanted to spend time with the friends he had met previously while at Tancho.
After spacing off for several moments, the sound of someone’s comment about the ball snapped him out of it.
“Well, at least this place has a nice atmosphere.”
Ren looked over at the ‘stranger’, and nodded, “Isn’t it? I’m realllly enjoying it!” He smiled, what an interesting person! The thing that probably caught his interest was how shiny the dress was to him, “I’m Ren by the way! If you’re not here with anyone maybe we can do something together!”
This was starting to feel a little lonesome, Asaka mused to herself as she continue to stand by and watch as the rest of the student went around, minding their own businesses. This really had been planned for couples, or at least for having someone accompany you. The slow music, the lack of other activities to be done, everything that would be more enjoyable if shared. It was a little depressing, actually.
Still, not long after she had uttered her comment on the atmosphere itself, a familiar voice reached her ears. As she turned, Asaka found herself looking at the very person she had hoped to meet up with. Wow, she must’ve been deep in thought not to notice him!
And… Ren didn’t recognize her. The fighter wasn’t sure if this should be upsetting or something she should’ve expected. It probably was nothing considering the same thing happened to Tetsu, who had known Ren for much longer, during the Circuit. Yes, this wasn't anything to be hurt over. Perhaps it would even be a good idea to play along just like they had done whenever Ren asked about Joker X.
"It looks like fun, doesn't it?" Besides, Asaka didn't really mind the circumstances so long as they both could enjoy themselves. "I'm not really waiting for anyone, and some company does sound like it would make the night more interesting." The response came with a soft giggle from the female before she took a sip of the beverage in her hand.
Who knows, maybe this would actually turn out even more interesting if her identity did remain a secret.
