2 weeks post brain surgery end can confirm Folklore is the ultimate medicine. All summer I had to have a plethora of medical tests and scans, MRIs, MRAs, EMGs.. and whenever they asked if I wanted to listen to music I’d always have them play Lover, and on the day of my last MRI, Folklore came out. It was truly meant to be.

2 weeks ago I had brain surgery for a brain malformation I was born with that we did not find until I was 18 years old. It made my day to day so difficult and all I wanted to be was to feel normal and not have my problem hold me back. It was almost impossible to leave my house for months luckily my symptoms lessened and I have my dream job in NYC!

This year my symptoms progressed and new symptoms devolved, including a facial spasm on the left side of my face. My tests concluded my brain condition progressed and my neurosurgeons said brain surgery was my best bet at preventing more problems.

It was by far the scariest thing I’ve ever done and Taylor has helped give me the strength to get through it all. I now feel amazing and am able to stroll through the West Village without anxiety or crippling symptoms❤️ @taylorswift @taylornation

Never one to post something like this but I have to get brain surgery next month for a chronic problem Ive had my whole life that has recently progressed and I am beyond beyond nervous.

Folklore and Lover have really helped me cope. I even ask the MRI technicians to play these albums when I’m in the machine because my symptoms flare up terribly during those tests. Just a hello or support would lift my spirits. Never did I think I would need brain surgery at 24 years old during a global pandemic. Beyond grateful to have such incredible art to help me. Forever thankful to @taylorswift @taylornation for improving my inner confidence and making me so so happy all the time.
