I love kpop. Got7, Day 6, EXO, BTS, EN-, (G) Idle, DREAMCATCHER,TXT,REDVELVET, ECT. You name a group and ill probably know who they are. I never really get involved with the fandom itself... sure I'll like a few tweets or fanmade videos/memes... but other than that I usually stay away from other stans. My personal experience with other fans has not been that great. So other than at concerts, I hardly interact with other Fans.
Another thing, alot of fans seem to turn on their idols for small things like a dating scandal yet will stand by their side when they are conviicted for something as serious as serial assault? That seems pretty twisted to me. Don't even get me started on the industry itself especially the companies. Misstreatment, abuse, bullying, and underpayment. These are just some of the few things I've heard about companies especially the bigger ones *cough*JYP*cough*
Both the fans and the companies need to remember that their idols are humans just like them.
To fans: you do not own them, stop acting like you do,do not put your fav artist on a pedestal. They are human; they are going to mess up. And you don't actually know them, you know the side that they show on camera. And yeah that usually is the real them but its not everything.( I should know, my Big Bang bias used to be Seungri)
To companies: please please please please treat your idols better. Let them have the rest they need. Pay them what they deserve. Promote them properly. Let them be themselves. Let them date, of they want.
This has been my (all over the place)rant. If you agree with me great... of you dont.... just ignore this post and move on. Thanks.
