you know, the original reason i fell in love with ena shinonome is because she's an attention seeker, she's open about it, and it's never treated like some moral failing she has to correct. the narrative is kind to her, never casting shame even when she's ashamed of herself. it reframes "attention" as recognition, validation, being acknowledged. with the moral being that everyone wants to be acknowledged, and moreover that everyone deserves to be acknowledged.
