Another recipe I was hyped to make for TADC night with @punkuuo , actually made it the day after because of how exhausted we were from cooking all the other recipes but then this ended up being shockingly the easiest one to make!
Inspo drawing I made as a reference for the recipes. This sticky mango rice was amazing and literally so easy I’ll probably make it again this week. We made the rice purple by dissolving taro powder in water and adding it to the water the rice cooked in. For the coconut sauce, we just added pink gel food coloring but you could probably use beet powder to get a similar look. We shaped the rice with our hands and then used scissors to cut nori into the pupils, brows, and lines for the teeth. We joked we were pouring stupid sauce on him as we drenched him in the pink coconut sauce.

This was the recipe I was most excited about making when I first started brainstorming recipes for a TADC night. The saturation however… is a lie, so much of the gel food color boiled away and the actual pasta color was closer to pink. Does anyone know how to preserve the pasta color through cooking?
Inspo drawing I made for the recipes. I would almost say Gangle shifted most of the recipes from being episode themed to character themed…. that and also it would have been waaaaaay too much food if we went episode themed. I thought it would be so clever to cut the pasta ends to resemble ribbon ends and for the most part that detail did survive. The first pass at making the pasta dough we did it a day in advance and then at midnight in bed my eyes went wide as I realized we forgot to add the food coloring. We tried to incorporate it after the fact but it looked so cursed seeing the red peer through beige dough while kneading looking too much like an open wound. We were like “Oh god, this is Pomni all over again”. We quickly did a second batch of pasta with the food coloring added before kneading the dough and that turned out much better… but goodness does it need A LOT of food coloring to be vibrant. When I went to do the final plating I was like dang I’m proud of this dish but it looks cursed at the same time. I had been tempted to 3D model the version of their mask from the episode where Jax’s suggestion turns Gangle into a rhino back when we considered episode themed foods.
Also 3D printed the Gangle mask and then cut some paper for the black in the eyes and mouth and the blue of the tears. Then, once again, since I do not trust the food safety of my 3d printer or its filament I wrapped up the mask in cling wrap.
Recipe we referenced and then we just used a jar of alfredo sauce to complete the dish:
Fresh pasta is SO easy to make! This homemade pasta recipe uses just 4 ingredients - flour, eggs, olive oil, and salt - and it comes out per
Had a friend over to watch TADC and we made an event out of it by making themed recipes. Lovely Zooble pieces drawn by @punkuuo . This dish had the most divided response for flavor, the main deciding factor being, how much you like pesto sauce.
Inspo drawing I made for the various themed recipes. For Zooble my second pick was to do chicken and veggie kabobs to play on sticking pieces together and possibly cutting the pieces into various shapes like triangles and circles and squares. Ultimately, similar to the Pomni berry crumble, we went with the rainbow veggie tart because it looked so interesting and tasty! The recipe seems to call for more veggies than we could fit in the dish though, so this resulted in a very unbalanced amount of pesto sauce at the bottom with like half the veggies called for in the tart. As result for those who loved pesto sauce they thought this was amazing and then on the flip side everyone either neutral or opposed to pesto sauce struggled to eat this. Funnily enough, this was the first dish to be fully consumed.
Here’s the recipe we referenced for the rainbow veggie tart:
Impress your guests with this vibrant and delicious veggie-packed tart. The flaky puff pastry crust is filled with a colorful array of roast
It just took a few practice cookies to keep the eyes from looking like they were melting off.
Inspo drawing I made for TADC themed food and drinks. I got a little more involved with the prep for the Kinger cookie by 3D modeling and then printing a custom cookie cutter for him. Only issue is that I do not trust my 3d printer or its filament to make anything food safe so I used cling wrap on the cookie dough as I pressed the cookie cutter in. Makes the final shape appear more bubbled but overall I’m really happy with how it turned out!
Icing the cookies with my friends was probably the most laughs I had while making everything. We kept getting the goofiest looking eyes as we tried to figure out how to apply the icing.
Here’s the recipe for the cookies and frosting I used for anyone interested:
Inspo I drew for the recipes. Ragatha was probably the most challenging character to figure out what to make because we didn’t want to make another drink and we wanted something savory since there were already 3 desserts planned. But darn…. blue-ish/purple and red savory foods did not result in a long list of options. Found a recipe for cabbage stuffed with sausage and rice in a tomato sauce, just had to swap the regular cabbage with a purple cabbage. Proud of how the dish turned out, and it was definitely delicious haha. Next time I think if I made another Ragatha themed item I’d make it a drink like I did with Caine.
Here’s the recipe for the stuffed cabbage rolls I referenced for this:
Just like Grandma used to make, this traditional stuffed cabbage rolls recipe is packed with tender cabbage leaves, a savory beef and rice f
Had a friend over to watch through TADC and we made several recipes themed after the characters. The tiny yet essential hat was drawn by @punkuuo .
Shirley temple, topped with a vanilla cold foam, and sprinkled with mini marshmallows. Surprisingly I really liked the marshmallows in this.
Drawing inspo for the various recipes. At first I thought it would just be the cold foam on top of the drink but the marshmallows seemed fitting to represent the teeth. Wasn’t sure how much this recipe would be purely aesthetic vs delicious but I ended up making several throughout the week. Next time I gotta try a shirley temple float with icecream because I see the potential of this flavor combo now. Only issue with this version is that because of so many elements acting as a topping instead of being mixed together I kept chugging down the drink to get the toppings and oh boy did I feel like I chugged soda afterwards.
To make this drink:
1. Stir together 1.5 oz of grenadine with about 8oz of your favorite lemon-lime soda
2. For the cold foam topping I whipped together 3 tablespoons of whole milk, 2 tablespoons of heavy cream, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and one teaspoon of vanilla until I got the consistency I wanted then pour on top.

The drawings I made as inspo for what we would cook and bake. The berry crumble was definitely one of my favorites, never had a crumble before though so it was definitely a magical moment. We had considered a strawberry and blueberry parfait to really get the different colors to pop but my friend and I craved trying the crumble more. You could also say Pomni’s sanity was crumbling in the first episode… The dish I baked the crumble in also ended up looking like a blood bath from all the strawberry juice splashed against the sides. Decided it was too cursed to post and tried to plate it nicely instead.
Here’s the recipe I referenced for the berry crumble, for the berries I did about half and half of strawberries and blueberries:
Simple mixed berry crisp with a golden oat crumble and any mix of berries you have. Fresh or frozen both work. A straightforward, no-fuss de
