[Sam paces around in his house, looking nervously at the bookshelf before looking out the window instead. He curses under his breath when he notices the boats docking on his island's shores, and leaves his house to approach the visitors. His goggles aren't on, betraying his apprehension.]

..I guess I expected this. Hello. [He squints at Technoblade, and sounds tired as he speaks.] Please don't blow up my house.

hey sam! whether or not ill blow up your house is between me and this guy [he gestures towards tubbo].

[he fidgets with the sword in his hands, and steels his gaze as they look sam in the eyes.]

i just want to know where michael is. and what the hell imprisoning and fucking murdering ranboo was about. whatever happens to the house depends on the answers

He's-- Michael's safe. I didn't do anything to him.

Ranboo was just.. [He shuffles hesitantly. Now that he was being confronted, it was hard to just go with the hostage explanation and nothing else.] I got. A tip, that they might have been.. That it might have been best for her to be in there. At the very least, that she would be a good hostage. I don't know. I thought, if I got Michael, and Ranboo stopped for Michael, then Techno or Dream would have stopped and gotten the other one to stop, it just..

[He looks bitterly at the ground with pinned ears. His thoughts were swirling too much to remember much other than his pure desperation at the time.]

It didn't work out. How I wanted it to.

[Ranboo pushes around the group, steps in front of Tubbo and without hesitation, swings her axe at Sam] You. [He snarls, baring his teeth] I don't care about your excuses. Tell us where Michael is now.

[He stumbles back, a hind paw pressed against the door as he puts his hands up and huffs out smoke, squinting at Ranboo.]

Maybe that tip off was right. [He considers his options, and sighs, figuring it isn't worth it. Every second he spends here is just another spent not finding Dream anyways. He turns to open the door and walks in, straight for the bookcase at the back.]

[Sam drops an item through the floorboards, and the bookshelf starts moving to the side to reveal a drop down into a dark room. There's a ladder, but Sam simply drops down and calls upwards.]

Through here. I put him in the library.

[Their eyes widen, then narrow. He didn't expect Sam to give in so easily. It could be a trap... well, it doesn't matter, as long as they get Michael. She grabs Tubbo and drags them both to the ladder, sliding down it herself] MICHAEL! [Beloved cries upon seeing him. They put their weapon away and rush forward] Michael, Michael--you're here--are you okay? [She kneels, checking him over] Oh, void, I'm so sorry. I'm sorry, I'm here now, we're here.

[tubbo runs forward as well, checking him twice over.] oh, kiddo, hey bud, i'm so so sorry.

[michael brightens at the attention, snorting and nuzzling into his parents hands as best he can. he instinctively reaches to grasp onto tubbo, who picks his son up and squeezes him tight. for a second, tubbo feels his anger melt away as sam thankfully stays quiet and stays back.]

..we should really bring you back, bud. way away from here. [he bumps against ranboo, but remembers sam is watching, and gets up with a churning stomach. their eyes flick to sam, then to ranboo.] should get your stuff too

[She brushes Michael's forehead and kisses it] You're safe now [His voice is a whisper. Registering Tubbo's words, he shifts a bit, looking back at Sam] ...yeah. Maybe we should take Michael back first, my stuff can wait

[michael snorts again, reaching for ranboo's face as he calls out her name. tubbo lets him up enough for michael to bump his head against ranboo, before shifting their hold on him and nodding.] we can ask eret or techno, probably. to get your stuff, i mean. i think we should just take michael back now. [he lowers her voice to a whisper as well.] make sure sam leaves after you, just in case there's a trap set

[he makes his way to the ladder, letting michael climb up and climbing after him. she leans against the wall for a while as he waits for the other too, worrying for a bit about ranboo, and everything else. they worry her lip and gently rubs michael's ear when he asks what's wrong.] nothing bud, we're going home soon, i promise

[Sam lets them go, but, loud enough for Tubbo to hear as well, he speaks up.] Why would you just trust Technoblade with all of this? He broke Dream out of prison. [He huffs again and gestures vaguely.]

Dream is out there because of him. He doesn't even care. I wouldn't have done any of this if it weren't for those two working together. All of us are unsafe, you, your kid, Tommy. [He tenses up as he looks at Ranboo, lowering his voice to speak to them directly.] You told me yourself that you did horrible things you couldn't even tell me. You care about Michael, about Tubbo, Tommy, your family? Maybe instead of making new enemies you should consider just what kind of people your enemies are. What kind of person you are.

[His ears are pinned back, and he's barely aware of his own missteps as he keeps steaming forward.] I'll leave your kid alone, because I have to look out for the murderer your "friend" let out, but we're both going to have to hope that whatever it is you've done, you didn't do it again by the time Dream is locked up for good. If you really hate him as much as I hope you do, you'll leave me to it.

Well.. Michael seems fine for now at least. It's not like anyone really knows where this is, right? I'll just.. Give him something to play with for now. Maybe I should start up Sam Nook again, it'd be good tohave him look out for Dream, maybe....
