The sound of the dress rustling by his side clues him into her presence, the familiar smell of her perfume tells him it’s Pandora. She’s the only one who would dare to touch him when he has that distinctly unimpressed look on his face. The only one he wouldn’t gut for it, save perhaps his dearest Narcissa. The feeling of her chin against his shoulder is a comforting thing. It always makes him feel a little more human. Regulus finds himself relaxing and leaning into her space. He does genuinely consider his question, amusement rising up in his chest already at the sound of it laced through her voice. “He lived a life that made him richer than a King — isn’t that what good means in our little circle?” A tilt of his head, a quirk of a smile. He raises his glass in a private toast, voice low and quiet just for her. “The king is dead, long live whatever monster takes his place. — and let’s hope it’s one that likes the Black’s.” He sounds amused himself now as he carries on. “People are saying his death might not have been quite as natural as one might assume. I, myself, can’t see why anyone would bother to murder a man so old that he was bound to drop dead at any minute.”

Like her brother, Regulus was a sense of safety for Pandora. Much like a sacred blanket for a child, she could never let go of her friend. And as he he eased back into her, she gently rested her hands against his sides and gave them a gentle squeeze. She lowered herself to her usual height but kept close as she listened to him. With a chuckle, Pandora bobbed her head back and forth. “Well, in our little circle, our definition of good is rather skewed.”
Pandora leaned in a bit as he continued and soft smirk appeared on her lips just for him. “Even if they’re not a fan of the Black’s, it’s not exactly wisest decision. No matter how much money you have. Enemies of the family tend to somehow disappear, no?” She took an idle step back to collect herself a drink. “Of course, you’re not a fan of wasted effort,” she pointed out. “Why put in the energy when time was doing the job already.”
