I’ll tell you a little story of life in the mountains - a sleepy town from the early 70’s. The landscape laced with the icy Panchachuli and the Nanda Devi ranges, Nainital sat in the cradle gracefully. Away from the hustle bustle of the city life, everyone in the town knew everyone and the things around seemed almost animated, they could often kindle delight in one by the enigmatic nature scapes but often retained the simplicity of life. An average day in the mountains looked very different from another town. Away from the buzz of the city life, the world was almost animated - a little blessing in the lap of nature. Due to the lack of good opportunities, a lot of people had to do resort to odd jobs or the run of the mill government sector jobs, a small ration or tuck shop, or an inherited hotel to look after if you were very lucky.
