In case anyone hasn't heard, the cyclospora outbreak affecting tons of people in the US right now is coming from Taylor Farms produce. Best to stay away from bagged lettuce and prepared salads completely right now, but especially the ones mentioned in the screenshot:

Taylor Farms Earthbound Farms Little Salad Bar (Aldi) Marketside (Walmart) Kroger House Brand Target private label greens Costco salads and greens etc Trader Joe's chopped salad kits and fresh produce Fast food: McDonalds, Taco Bell, (Yum! Brands), Chipotle, Subway, Pizza Hut, KFC, Olive Garden, Top Golf, Red Lobster, Burger King, etc.

This is not the first time I've heard about a Taylor Farms foodborne illness outbreak. I stopped eating their salads after reading a description of the conditions in their facilities. Doesn't sound like they've improved anything.

We need a fully funded and staffed FDA, and regulations with teeth - and that's exactly what we don't have under Trump. To make things worse, the CDC is no longer tracking these outbreaks. We're on our own.

Hey guys! For the 2026 Toxic Yuri Visual Novel Jam, I had the absolute pleasure of writing and producing MIRROR_NEURON, an 18+ visual novel about care, endurance, humanity, inhumanity, and the fraught relationship between a mech and her Pilot. Written entirely by me and directed by my lovely wife @saoirsedotpdf, MIRROR_NEURON has a total of about 16k words, 4 standard endings, and 1 secret ending.

you literally cant escape skinny preferentialism its crazy. a little while ago I was out of my preferred work clothes and had to wear one that was tighter than I liked. literally the moment I walked in coworker was like "JEEEAAAANN omigosh did you lose weeeeiight?? :D" and I had to explain that no, I did not lose 10 pounds overnight. its been weeks and im still kinda miffed cause like. im heavier set but im at a pretty good weight for my build, and if I- or anyone of any weight for that matter- were to lose that much weight in the amount of time she thought I had then I would probably be very sick. but that thought never occurred to her, it was just "weight loss = celebration!"

its amazing how far optimization has come in the games industry when a studio is given the time and budget for it. my laptop runs Elden Ring better than the Witcher, a game from 2007

#also frustratingly no vysnc options in the witcher. nvidia control panel seems to have no affect on the game #all of which is fine so far. the combat really doesnt move the camera too much so the cutscenes are the only time i notice it

the bugs are really loving this tomato! the clowns and milkbacks and springtails and even the babies are all enjoying it. they like it way more than the bell pepper I tried giving them. the babies are also getting more confident, theyre always exploring the tank instead of hiding under moss now. I wish the clowns would breed too but im not even sure if i have a male female pair left

#theres a big milkback under the tomato and every time it moves it lifts the whole tomato slice and everyone on it lol

Come to think of it, it really is insane that my entire country is burning alive and literally no one in the rest of the world cares. Thousands of Indians are dying every day from the heat, it's 45+ degrees in multiple areas, the government couldn't give two fucks, we're getting severe warnings and red alerts, and not a soul outside of South Asia is speaking about it because why would you ever care about brown people
