Important Announcement; Hoozuki no Reitetsu etc.

Hi all... it’s been ages. We’re all really sorry we haven’t been active, like, at all, for the past... years.

We’ve grown up and gotten responsibilities and change in priorities, so we just haven’t had the time and drive. Again, we’re really sorry (at least I am).

Hoozuki no Reitetsu was my main area of work, but seeing official translations are up to volume 8/9, it makes no sense to continue the series. Please support the industry and purchase their translations.

It of course hurts, but it was only to be expected. It’s a great series :)

I have little to no intention of picking up another series, and I haven’t been in contact with many of the other group members in months to years, Nabs included. There has been no fallout, no bad blood between us, nothing of that sort - people have just grown busy, and responsibilities and changing priorities happen to all of us, and so I guess we lost contact... it’s sad, but that’s life.

I remember when I contacted Nabs for the position as translator on HnR - I was so nervous, and so honoured to be accepted! It was awesome! We had so much fun in the group, and I learned a lot. When Nabs later appointed me co-administrator, I was equally honoured.

Anyway, it will probably only be a handful of people reading this, but I’ve really enjoyed the ride. This is not a goodbye-forever, but we also have to face it - HnR is being translated officially, and there is no point in us continuing.

I hope you all enjoyed the ride too, though my translations, especially in the beginning, were sub-par and I know things got reeeeeaaaaally slow at some point.

I also hope you’ve all been OK through the pandemic. Covid is practically non-existant in my country now, but I know others’ are still affected by it. The situation in Ukraine kind of stile the limelight (though I really wish it hadn’t).

All of this is just to say... I’ll still be reachable here, but we probably won’t be posting anything new. I doubt we’ll suddenly pick up work at some point, but I’ll leave the possibility open. Therefore, if you have any questions or comments, please reach out :)

I could see that you are still working on hoozuki no reitetsu for which I am very grateful, but why don't you upload it to mangadex anymore thought?

Oh, we plan to! It’s just that most of our latest releases have been with beta (might even want to say alpha) typesetting, i.e. commentary bubbles instead of actually replacing the Japanese text, which doesn’t make for a great (if any) experience on MangaDex. So until we get around to cleaning and typesetting things somewhat properly, it won’t go up on MangaDex.

Is misupuri still going to come out with chapters? Please this is like a log or death situation for me it ended on a cliffhanger. I love this manga with all my heart.

I’m awaiting response from Nabs, but I’m afraid we don’t have the raws for it - and I can’t find them anywhere!

So for the time being, no, we unfortunately won’t be releasing new chapters - at least not until we get hold of some raws.

Do you take requests? Fukumenkei Noise only has its last volume without a scanlation and many fans have been trying to find a group that would pick it up, and i know it says that you are full at the moment but pls reconsider this manga if not thank you for your time reading

Thank you for your inquiry. I have not gotten through to Nabs yet, but I can say for almost certain that we will not translate Fukumenkei Noise for several reasons, but one in particular: There is already an official translation out that you can purchase here: https://www.viz.com/anonymous-noise If you enjoy a manga, please support the industry. PaperMoon Scanlation do, as a main rule, not translate manga that are already being officially translated, both due to legal and ethical issues.

Bear with me, I did it alone and in 1-2 days (including my other responsibilities).

However, as mentioned in a previous response post, we had actually passed Love Rerun on to a different group, but since it doesn’t seem like they’ve updated since ‘16, we took the liberty to do it.

Now you may wonder why we haven’t released other series like Hoozuki no Reitetsu, but HnR is SO much more difficult, requires so much more research, SO much more thought (puns etc.), and Love Rerun is much more straight forward (not saying I didn’t make mistakes, though - I probably did).

Anyway, I hope you appreciate the much awaited update!

Last thing - I’m not the one who originally translated it, so format, wording etc. is different (an example: I didn’t keep the -kun and -kun after names).

hi, sorry, dont mean to be so forward, but are you guys still active? and if so, do you guys still have plans on doing love rerun? hope you don't mind but apparently, it's been three years since the latest update, and when i checked this blog, i wasn't quite sure if you guys were still active because i couldn't see any timestamps on the posts. :c

We are.. sort of on hiatus, I guess. But you aren’t forgotten! We still communicate within the group, but logistics, geography and health have been issues for some of our members. I’ll go check up on Love Rerun when I’m back home on my own computer, probably around Monday.~ Bissen

I had a chat with Nabs on Love Rerun. Apparently we gave the project away to a different group years ago (I don’t know who) - but seeing they haven’t provided anything since then, we might take the liberty of releasing the remaining four chapters after all.

“But why aren’t you releasing Hoozuki no Reitetsu, then?!” you may ask yourself. Well, Love Rerun is SO much easier to translate (much less punning, less need for research on obscure references, easier wording - everything), and it’s nice to change things up. We ARE working on HnR.
