Artemis and Holly’s relationship is one of my favorite things about the book series. Whether you ship them or not (I myself am on the fence), they changed each others’ lives. Holly, especially, transformed Artemis from a villain to a sacrificial hero, and he is exceedingly grateful to her for that.

I love that they are so openly affectionate without being in a romantic relationship. I love that Artemis acknowledges the possibility that he could be attracted to her, but he isn’t “friendzoned.” He recognizes being her friend as the gift it is, and vice versa. Holly keeps Artemis in his place, but she’d do anything to protect him. She loves him (in the familial, friend, agape sense), even though he doesn’t deserve it.

Their canon relationship is beautiful, and I love drawing it.
