Col. Robert Sink (right) on D-Day checking maps with his pilot. Col. Sink was dropped within 200 yards of his dropping zone because Charles Young was a very experienced pilot. On his way back, Young broke radio silence to inform the pilots after him that it’s safer to fly low and drop the paratroopers at 700 feet, so you’ll pass more quickly over the gunners.
Robert ‘Bourbon Bob’ Sink had a good sense of humor.

Mean boys
Summary: Colonel Sink gives his officers a stern talking to. Word count: 1936 * Colonel Sink’s mother had been a schoolteacher all her life. She had worked to support the two of them, and even though he had never wanted to follow in her footsteps into the profession, something about her iron will had followed him to his army career. Now was one of those moments when he felt it most. He was staring down a row of his own officers, all smart, capable, outstanding and valuable, hard-working soldiers he was proud of. Individually, at least.

Ohhhh this is perfect!!! Thank you!!! ❤❤❤
These officers will put me in an early grave. Daughters were easier than boys at war.
Forbidden Feelings
Sink and his secretary have forbidden feelings for each other.
Requested by @youluckyheabigman (it won’t let me tag you!)
Y/N was sitting behind an oak desk, writing on a typewriter with a cigarette between her lips.
She had been Colonol Sinks secretary for a while and she would be lying if she said she didn’t think about him a lot.
Well of course you had to think about him, you thought about him in other ways, sexy ways.
He was attractive, and sweet, and funny but you weren’t a solider and he was.
He was going to get hurt and you hated that feeling that someday he might.
“What would I know” you thought. “I’m not a soilder, I’m the colonels secretary”
As you saw George Luz pass by, you were hoping he wouldn’t come over to talk to you about your little school crush on Sink.
“Hey Y/N! Ms Secretary”
oh god.. Sink was right outside the door, maybe if Luz talked about him and her he would here
“So, you haven’t told Sink yet have you?”
You gulped, you felt a familiar feeling in your stomach.
“No” you replied
“Well you know we’re moving out tomorrow so it could be your only chance to let him know your little crush to him”
“Luz, cmon he’s a solider, a Colonol, he’s not going to have time for a relationship. Might as well be his secretary and hopefully a friend then get tangled in a relationship in this hell of a war”
George just smiled “your choice Y/N. Your choice.”
You sighed and slumped back in the wooden chair as you watched Luz walk away. Maybe he was right. You had been following Sink since you started being his secretary to see what he was like.
He was so kind to you, sometimes you would share a cigarette in his office, or he would talk to you. Maybe he does like me you thought.
You knocked on the door to his office
“Come in” he said
You slowly pushed the door open.
“Sir? Can I speak to you for a moment?”
His eyes softened as he looked up from papers. He looked tired, like he hadn’t slept in this war.
“I brought you some chocolate, a solider didn’t want it. Can you believe it? Someone not liking chocolate?”
He chuckled and reached for a piece. “So uh, I wanted to confess something..”
“Ever since I’ve been your secretary I’ve noticed something. You’re kind, and funny, and when we just talk or have a cigarette together it’s nice.. I like you a lot but I know there’s war, and there’s no time or place for love..” you stood up and he stood with you
“Is this why you’ve been following me? And having meals with me?” He asked
“Well ,yes..” you said softly
“Y/N, I have feelings for you as well but it would be wrong.” He placed a hand on your waist and you placed your hands on his shoulders
“Who said we have to get caught?” You smirked
“Y/N it’s not right, it’s wrong, it’s.. forbidden”
You put your hands on his cheeks and kissed his lips ever so softly and he kissed back. It wasn’t hard or really a sexy kiss. It was sweet, and passionate.
You both pulled back for air and he rested his forehead against yours.
“If we have this.. relationship we can’t get caught” He said
“I know.. I know but it’s worth it if I can love you” You whispered
Aaah thank you! There’s not enough for Sink out there! So happy you wanted to write for him! That’s weird that it wouldn’t let you tag me 😭 I’ll look if my settings are weird

Things I was not expecting to get as a result for in The BoB Profanity Problem:
Colonel Sink swears as much as Bill Guarnere in Currahee.
I refuse to confirm or deny this, what goes on at Toccoa, stays at Toccoa.
