finally giving myself the right to stop waiting on others, to be truly independent.
Can you see them? Itâs the actual bunny that initially inspired me to write âThe Song of Marshy Meadowâ !!!! Something about it standing there before the hedge felt so mysterious...like it was at a crossroads, or on the cusp between light and dark, the tame and the wild, sanity and madness. I was very melancholy that day, yearning to be Alice, led astray into Wonderland. I wanted to believe in anything if it meant I could escape from my loneliness; thus the existential desperation in that song is relentless.
from the album The Anachronous Album
âIn the Windâ was written mid-2007 and officially recorded in 2019. It is the 2nd single from The Anachronous Album.

from youtube:
here's a super lo-fi, recorded performance of my new song "Poured River." it's a very simple song that was mostly improvised on the spot, and I just wanted to put something out there on its behalf and on behalf of all of the music that's taking me forever to record. This is definitely not a post just to bide my time, but an upload to let you guys know that I am still here and am so eager to share new music that I couldn't even wait to officially record this song before sharing a performance of it. Can't wait for everyone to hear the official version and all of the other songs I'm working on!

I recorded the original demo for this song in one take using a field recorder. As a result, I was unable to adjust the levels individually in post, and the vocals got slightly buried in the mix alongside my amplified guitar. This recording was only intended to be a super rough demo, so it didn't matter so much to me at the time that the vocals were not the best; however this recording has become very special to me, and I wanted to make sure I had a version of it with more clear and audible vocals. Hence, I made this version 2.0 demo! I have lots of plans for the final version of this song--details are in the track description!:

âdreamer;â the anachronous album; material from 2006 - 2009...
Hi everyone!Â
I have a ânewâ ongoing song series that will coexist with my usual output of original music (whatever that is supposed to mean) that Iâm referring to as âthe anachronous singles,â which will be a periodically released selection of some of the first full, independent songs that I ever wrote, from the early days of my guitar-based songwriting. I think of the project as a collection of very old singles, outtakes, and âb-sides,â coming from and representing a more primary stage of my music project and songwriting. All of the songs that will be included are being recorded, released, or completed as singles at least ten years after they were originally written, and will all be available in chronological order under the title The Anachronous Album on the Paradigm in Time bandcamp website.
The first single in this series, âDreamer,â was composed between 2006 and 2007; the piano and guitar were recorded in 2010 by myself and an ex-bandmate, and vocals were finally recorded in 2018! Hope you enjoy it and please feel free to download! Also, send me your email address if you would like to be added to my mailing list!

a new post/project announcement and track are coming soon!!!! <3
a few things about paradigm in time...
Paradigm in Time is my solo/collaborative music project. I have been writing songs since around the age of 9 or 10 and have been involved in some kind of self-led music group or band ever since then (the past 15 years). I officially established Paradigm in Time in 2014 with the release of a demo version of my original song âWhere Would You Like to Go?â and had always intended to record this song with a full band; I am still hoping to do so if I can find the right people and players. Although âWhere Would You Like to Go?â was my first recorded release on social media, the first official, non demo single for Paradigm in Time was a 20 minute long experimental piece âA Pearâs to Be War King,â which was arranged more or less on a whim during preparations for the intended sessions for one of a handful of yet-to-be-recorded albums.Â
So far I have recorded 11 of my original songs and 4 covers, all of which can be found over my bandcamp and soundcloud websites. My main website, though, is paradigmintime.bandcamp.com, but soundcloud is a good platform for networking and posting tracks so I include all of my originals and cover versions on there as well. Please check my bandcamp for all of my latest releases!!!
I have dozens of songs that I have written over the years and am always writing new ones, and I spend a lot of my time writing and rehearsing them. It can take a long time for me to learn and become good at playing all of the parts of all of the songs, as I play all of the instruments and do all of the vocals and reocording/editing myself. With everything going on, a single song from written to recorded version can take months and sometimes years to release; but I hope to be able to move faster as Iâm learning ways to be more in control of my productivity and wellness.Â
If anyone has any questions or messages please feel free to contact me via email: [email protected] or message my inbox here! Thanks for reading!
