hmm... porhaps... give us... som fun facts... abt the setting in general? if thas okee? :0
uh okay! so generally the world is the same as ours, with very very minor deviations to allow for more spooky stuff to happen!
vampires, in their own community, call each other nth generation (if ur parents were both vamps before you were born, you're 2nd, etc). Bitten vampires (born a person, infected later) are called "newbloods", and vampires who have one parent vampire and one parent human are called "halfbloods." If the family goes back beyond 5 generations (or around 600+ years) they're called Purebloods or "oldbloods."
werewoofs and vampires only have issues w/ each other because generally, they're the only thing really strong enough to kill each other.
there are four "planes" of existance. the infernal (hell), the divine ("heaven"), Limbo (purgatory), and the physical (our world.) Limbo and the physical world tend to overlap sometimes, which is how ghosts/undead happen.
Witches can draw power from a spirit, which includes pagan gods, angels, demons, etc, or from the planes themselves, but that's super difficult and dangerous (but stronger)
Magic works on a belief/faith structure. if you will something hard enough, even mundane humans can manipulate the energy around them. (If you truly believe a holy symbol, running water, or garlic will repel any vampire, it damn well might.)
some people are more in-tune with Limbo and purgatory, (they're called mediums) and can see/sense spirits or energies of vampires, werewolves and witches.
the salem witch trials still didnt actually find real witches, ironically.
also in 2016 Bernie Sanders is elected president and Covid-19 is only an issue for like. a month in April bc it's *my* comfort story and i get to make the rules
