This graphic is the symbol of my organization, the Vinland Knife Fighting Guild. My friend @paranormal-scholar and I created the VKFG after learning the Norse martial art of GlĂma wrestling. We have over 30 years of martial arts training and experience between the two of us, a few âreal lifeâ fights, and countless sparring/ sport/ friendly matches in various martial arts. Our main background is Wing Chun Kung Fu, although weâve also both studied Jeet Kune Do, Taekwondo, other styles of Kung fu, Jujitsu, systema and Krav Maga. We started studying GlĂma and HEMA a little over a year ago, and when we had learned GlĂma proficiently, we created a knife fighting system to compliment our GlĂma. Weâre now continuing to hone our GlĂma, adding things from our other martial arts experience and elaborating on the system, and focusing on historical Viking weaponry. The logo is based on the raven flag, a flag which is postulated to be the first foreign flag in America, brought here by the Vikings who called it Vinland.

Also: donât stigmatize HIV+ individuals because they all have different circumstances and mightâve  gotten the virus from a variety of sources (sex, occupational, birth, blood transfusions in other countries).Â
HIV-related stigma remains a huge barrier to preventing HIV, and is linked to a low level of people testing for HIV.Â
The bad news is that Trump is cutting Americaâs spending on HIV year after year. He has taken steps to weaken the Affordable Care Act since coming to power.

A galdralag on galdralag:
So, for homework for my SeiĂ°r apprenticeship, I was assigned to write a poem in galdralag, the traditional norse poetic meter used for spellcraft and speaking of spellcraft.
i Grasp at Galdralag,
Great meter, Gargantuan power.
Always An Alliteration here.
Note Now which lines alliterate,
Know Now these six lines are ljoĂ°ahattr.
Another Alliteration ends ljoĂ°ahattr.
Additional Alliteration Adds power.
Great Galdralag Always Alliterates Although Adding Eighth lines are Optional.
So as this galdralag I wrote explains, galdralag is an alliterative poetic meter focused on parallelism. Also, as the poem suggests, the first part of any galdralag is actually the format called ljoĂ°ahattr, another poetic meter used by the old norse. The first two lines alliterate with each other as much as possible, the more the better (my example is basic and in my native English), followed by a third line which alliterates within itself. Then, two more lines alliterate with each other, followed by another line of the same type as the third line. Then another (now seventh) line of the same type as the third and sixth line, followed by an eighth of the same type. You could experiment with adding more lines, of the same type as the third and sixth through eighth, although Iâm unaware of examples of this. Galdralag can be found in the Rune song portion of the Havamal, the majority of the Havamal being written in the previously mentioned poetic meter of LjoĂ°ahattr.
Galdralag can also be broken down in this way, to aid in understanding the meterâs structure:
1: always alliterates with 2
2: always alliterates with 1
3: always alliterates with itself
4: always alliterates with 5
5: always alliterates with 4
6: always alliterates with itself
7: always alliterates with itself
8: always alliterates with itself
There are also examples of LjoĂ°ahattr consisting of just the first three lines, and becoming galdralag when adding another line of the same type as the third, for a shorter poetic verse.

This morning my grandpa passed away. He hasnât left my thoughts since, living on in his good renown. Tonight, to celebrate his life, I planned a small ritual fire with my family and we told stories of his deeds.
Itâs times like these I see the importance of family and community in a personâs life. My grandpa touched so many lives in his, and helped shape me into the person I am today. I owe a lot to him, and will carry his memory as long as I live, as that is at this point all I can do for him.
Iâm also glad I have my pagan practice, as I feel itâs helped me during this trying time. To build a fire, and sacrifice to the ancient gods, all drink from one bottle and pour the rest out in the names of the Dead and their King, Odin, has been a powerful experience, wether or not it has any semblance to ancient practices. The old gods live on, and are still here for those who call on them. Rest In Peace.

Hello Game Changer
During the most recent full moon I decided to consecrate my pendent and bracelet to the Santa Muerte. The purpose of this ritual is so you could have Our Lady of Holy Deathâs protection with you. Over the course of three days(I sometimes miss a day so I make sure to go extra for the next day, so more offerings and extra time to let the candle burn) you make a request to her asking for her protection. I normally ask her if she could also look out for my family and friends. Keep in mind this ritual needs to be done on a full moon, some practitioners try doing it every 3 months to have whatever they consecrated supercharged in a sense.
To start off you cleanse the item/items with whiskey I prefer using Florida water since itâs suppose to attract spirits and she loves Florida water. Next hold whatever you are consecrating in your hand, say your request and then with the red chord you wrap it around the item, then you place it into the handkerchief and fold that. Place the handkerchief onto your altar and let the candle burn(donât forget to leave a mark for each night on the candle). Snuff the candle out and continue on the next night. I added salt as well because that is another one of her favorite offerings as well. The ritual requires An image of Santa Muerte(doesnât have to be a statue) A white candle A glass of water Candy(if you donât have candy than flowers or baked goods could work too) Red ribbon or chord Red or black handkerchief And the bracelet, pendent, or ring

This is fucking important. I am glad someone fucking spoke about this and said what they had to say. The damage is terrible, and all the evergreen, stone, even the ground is black. I was fucking terrified when Croatia was burning. The fire was near a village where I like and I thought it will burn down. I thought the church will burn down. I thought the cemetery where my grandpa is buried will burn. I still remember the smell of smoke, and when I went to check how bad is fire, my clothes and hair and skin all stunk of smoke. It didnât go away for weeks.

Hello please donât blame individuals for their countryâs news outlets refusing to cover things. This is awful and we do care, we just need to be told itâs happening.
This shit is happening and our ânewsâ outlets deign to report on such inconsequential things as the shenanigans of celebrities instead, and it is INFURIATING.
I yelled at my dog because he was being bad and he like obviously felt guilty about it for the next two hours (I think he was shook because I donât really yell) and ngl I felt pretty bad
I mean MAYBE Iâm projecting human emotion onto an animal but I wholeheartedly believe he felt guilty. I spent like 20 minutes petting him and I told him even though he did a bad thing heâs still a good boy. I hope he understands that. Reblog if you agree animals can totally feel human emotion and like if you agree Kazak is still a good boy even though he needs yelled at sometimes.
Also I think heâs fine now, he fell asleep in my lap wagging his tail.
