I think this is actually my first ref sheet for Xen, my little chameleon avatar and general sona. I haven't used him for anything but my youtube channel in a long time, but I should, I really like him
Another one of @creatingblackcharacters' DTIYS. I wasn't even planning on it, I just had a very distinct mental image of him
I need to post more about the graphic novel I' want to write I'm working on. It's still in the loose planning stage, but it's the one Kestrel is from. The working title is Beasts of Burden, it's set in an alternate, fantasy version of 1920s America in a circus sideshow. There are lots of themes I want to incorporate, but for now I'm working on researching and making sure it's generally accurate before I start adding fantasy elements. So if anyone knows good resources about antiquated carnivals and what living in them was like, especially people subjected to "freak show" conditions, send them my way!
By the way, I did find a resource for this! It's Freak Show: Presenting Human Oddities for Amusement and Profit by Robert Bogdan. It's somewhat outdated now, especially in the language (it's originally from 1988) but it's very comprehensive about how the institution developed and how people were treated. And DAMN it's fascinating.
You know I'm serious about writing this graphic novel because I'm doing background and environmental design for it
proof
Elmo!
I've always wanted to do one of @creatingblackcharacters drawing challenges, but haven't had the chance. I can never pass up muppets though! I might honestly do Zoe and Rosita too
(It's Dorothy on his sweater)
Sorry these aren't as polished as Elmo, but I wanted to do these just for fun!

I don't know if this is actually helpful, but just a few things I think about when drawing. Plain text below the cut!
Look who actually finished a project!
I tried to do the head thing
Hit with the ponification beam. What would their names be?

I can't believe I missed Halloween when they have the perfect costume
You guys really liked my random CEC designs, so have some more. I don't know what about Chuck E Cheese in particular draws me in, but their old characters are just fascinating to me
Hey! It's been a bit. Thought I'd post a irl art piece I just finished for an upcoming trans art showcase.
It's time to punch in.
So... I've never done this before, but one reason I've been so radio silent recently is I've been doing art for a developing game! It hit Kickstarter today, and I'd really appreciate it if you could check it out even if you don't donate!
Kind of sad we never got to see him become a dracula. He has the teeth!
