Quick headshot I did of Neo!
Then the Librarian died
reminder that if we're mutuals i am down to give out my discord! i prefer to roleplay on it due to the time i'm away from my laptop.
First encounter
parasolism:
Neo’s lips parted in a silent ‘Oh.’ The young woman knew well of how many more Grimm had been roaming the continents, how they had been multiplying. In all honesty, it scared her.
With a few moments of silence between them, Neo rocked herself onto the balls of her feet, crouching before she forced herself to stand up. Her umbrella was gone, her scroll was gone - and she only had some Lien left on her. The dual-haired girl wouldn’t deny that she was curious as to where the rest of Yang’s team was, and even more so as to where she was heading.
‘Going where?’ She mouthed slowly in hopes that Yang would be able to read her lips.
Neo came off as a completely different person and it was honestly bugging Yang, something clearly must have happened at some point to cause such a drastic change in the mute girl… perhaps the fall of Beacon affected more than just her and her friends.
The brawler rose a brow at the question, just able to pick up on what she asked, and thought if she should tell her for a moment. This could be one big trap she was being walked into but it really didn’t feel like that, against her better judgement, she decided to tell her.
“I was heading towards Mistral… you can tag along if you want.”
She muttered whilst giving the girl a small shrug of her shoulders. She was out here to blow off some steam and was gonna head back once she’d done so but then the whole injury thing happened so she got sidetracked.
Neo placed her hands on her hips, watching Yang with passive eyes. She hadn't expected to get information so easily - not when she had once tried to kill the brawler. It had been her orders, however. There was no emotion behind it, no matter how she had played with her.
Mistral seemed so far away, but Neo had to weigh her choices. There was companionship and possible protection if she went with Yang. Without her umbrella, all the girl could do was defense, and she had already been hurt once. If there was an offer, Neo wasn't going to refuse it.
She nodded with a hint of a smile, moving to clasp her hands together in front of her stomach, her eyes switching their colors around. Perhaps she could teach Yang some basic sign.
neo was born of atlas blood. her mother was a nobody, and her unknown father a soldier for the atlesian military. growing up, it was just her mother and her, the woman getting by by doing any jobs she could manage to get. she got so fed up with having a child she could barely take care of, and ended up fighting with the child. neo's mother grew cold, borderline abusive as to telling her to often be quiet, that her voice was annoying, it was ugly, etc. neo stopped talking, and eventually ran after their last fight. she was aged around 14.
it was on the street while trying to steal food that she met roman, who took her under his wing and taught her everything she needed to knowntk survive; eventually, the two grew close and worked like a well oiled machine when stealing. roman never looked down upon her, he taught her how to sign, and demanded she stay his right-hand woman as they grew up into young adults.

parasolism:
The young woman pushed a few strands of pink from her face, eyes falling to the ground at the question. It hadn’t been so much of a hit as it had been a bad fall that her aura could only heal so much, the wound going much deeper than just a surface cut. No, she hadn’t been hit by an enemy but they had been serious enough that she had been on the run since she managed to escape.
“Ran,” she murmured, not allowing her face to betray the pain from the use of her vocal cords, peeling a bit of the bandage to show just the edge of a horrible bruise, turned yellow and deep brows. It was healing, and she was walking fine again, which was all that mattered to Neo.
But she changed the subject silently again, tapping Yang’s side with a raised brow as if she were asking the same question in return.
She ran huh? Maybe she had run from the people she used to work with and they tried to kill her for doing so? It was the best thing she could think of and it also might be the reason she helped Yang in the first place. She was going to trust Neo, for now.
A brow was raised when Neo tapped on her side but she knew what the other was getting at, honestly, it was just her being sloppy and letting a Grimm get in a good hit.
“Oh, that? Well, I was trying to charge my semblance but my Aura had gotten low so when I let a Grimm land a hit on me it bust through my Aura.”
Neo knew what her semblance was so she didn’t really feel the need to go into details about why she let the Grimm hit her, she should have been paying more attention honestly.
Neo's lips parted in a silent 'Oh.' The young woman knew well of how many more Grimm had been roaming the continents, how they had been multiplying. In all honesty, it scared her.

Yang stared at Neo for a moment trying to figure if the other was trying to trick her or if she was just genuinely being nice, this was new for Neo so it was fair to see why Yang was being so tense around the short woman that had almost killed her.
“Yeah, I’m fine.”
The brawler muttered softly as a metal hand came up to clutch at her side to test for any spikes of pain but it had seemed like the combined auras of both women had done the job. She did appreciate this but, for now, would keep her guard up.
“Thanks… I appreciate it.”
The blonde sighed as she folded her arms over her chest before she nodded her head towards Neo’s leg, the wound had her curious as she knew Neo was virtually impossible to hit.
“How’d that happen?”
The young woman pushed a few strands of pink from her face, eyes falling to the ground at the question. It hadn’t been so much of a hit as it had been a bad fall that her aura could only heal so much, the wound going much deeper than just a surface cut. When the boys come with the intention of hurting you,
my advice will always stay the same, my darling:
Give ‘em hell.
priv. sel. neo of RWBY. read rules before interacting.
Neo pursed her lips slightly—she was being nice to the golden brawler. As to why, the young woman couldn’t place. She was tired, perhaps that was why. Tired of running from her own guilt, or from now one in particular that she wasn’t even sure was following her. It didn’t stop her from covering Yang’s wound with her hand, applying pressure.
Heterochromatic eyes snapped up to Yang’s as she spoke, opening her mouth before feeling the pain in her throat. She didn’t want to speak again. It led her to doing the next best thing; she motioned to her left leg, clad in loose fitting fabric from the nearest village and bandages. It didn’t last long, however, as Neo reached into her pocket to pull out a cloth to wipe her hand on and put back on Yang’s wound. How had someone—or rather something touched the other?

Yang grit her teeth to stop the hiss of pain from escaping her as Neo began to apply pressure to the wound on her side, god it hurt. The blonde glanced to Neo’s leg and nodded to show she knew what the shorter girl meant but it still didn’t put her too much at ease, she’d just have to trust her for now.
“Must have been someone pretty good to land a hit on you.”
She commented to keep her mind off the pain that was throbbing from her wound, her and Neo’s aura were starting to mend the wound up slowly but it still hurt like a hell of a lot.
“First time I’ve ever heard you speak as well… you sound like I imagined.”
Imagined? Neo wasn't sure of what to make of Yang's comment, backhanded or not. As the blood stopped flowing, Neo drew back, surveying the other from her golden locks to her outfit. It looked as if the girl had been doing much better than herself.
She held up two hands, making a sign that anyone would be able to read. 'O. K.' A single slender finger pointed towards Yang with a tilt of her head, and for a second, Neo wondered if she would be charged at. The usual smug, taunting expression that normally rested upon her lips had disappeared; it had not even reared its head once. Seemingly odd for the girl that had once toyed with Yang, she seemed concerned.
After all, it wasn't every day a formidable opponent got themselves hurt.
i'd just like to note that my Neo has turned away from trying to kill people for the most part. she has lost faith in Salem.
