He then greeted Death as an old friend and went with him gladly, departing this life as equals.
If I knew this is what was waiting for me, I wish I had never met Senpai.
He rolls his sleeves up. “Let us see if I can deep fry some gyoza and not burn myself.”
She rolled her sleeves up in a mimicked action and planted herself beside him to look over his shoulder.
"I'll watch."

Fire :: Youngjae x Saigo
The flour that adorned the counters, floors and ceiling fit the Christmas vibe that the whole baking endeavor had set up. For one, it was white like snow and it was everywhere, it also veiled the kitchen with the aroma of vanilla extract. Aside from the conflagrant fire of yule log, vanilla was just one of those Christmas smells.
Saigo was the one who flicked the mess around from her powdery fingertips and decorated their attire in the warm food snow. It was like all the flour that went into the cookies had ended up on them and they might as well have gone into the oven with the baking sheet, he was sure he and Saigo would make titillating holiday treats for Santa.
They were just about to leave the mess to its own before a hint of yule log crept into his sinuses. More or less a Christmas kind of yule log, actually more like a fire.
His eyes met Saigo’s narrowed ones and he dusted flour from his palms, the obscurity of the powder obstructed his vision however reflected the dim light of a fire behind him. Maybe they’d been put in with the baking sheet after all.
Saigo wondered why her eyes stung beneath the synthetic blue contacts. Her nose scrunched to one side from something between a looming sneeze and the urge to rub her eyes until they popped out of her head, instead sawing the thick train-tracked sleeve of her knitted sweater beneath her nostrils to keep from blowing into a concussion. Her eyes widened- against all practicality, at the building sheen of smoke that hissed from the oven. Yonghee grabbed a towel and shoved past the younger to jerk the door open, holding her breath and closing her eyes as she swatted to douse the flame and the poor pastry now sitting at the heart of it.
"Shit man, we're goin- get a towel, get some water- I dunno what the hell do you kill an oven fire with? Fu-- down, dammit!" She yelped when the rag in her fingers caught flame and tossed it into the hungry pit to be digested with the rest of it. Saigo leaned over, turned the oven off, and scurried in her small pink socks to the front door of the apartment, nearly clipping the white frame when the sliding friction of wood floors hit carpet and she was at full speed. The fire extinguisher was perched on the bland wallpaper of the wall at the bottom of the stairs on level two.
