Here's another @artbyerle piece I picked up last night. He had some KILLER portraits, including a great Bret Hart and a 3-generation set for both Sting and The Undertaker. But at the end of the day I had to go with my genuinely favorite WWE Superstar in years, @alexa_bliss_wwe_!

After 15 long years, The Prophecy is fulfilled. And that's the gospel according to "The Fallen Angel".

I'm not in NYC but wtf goes on @joepending? It's been a wild ride.

I usually look the other way on things like this, but this has been bothering me. This is this year's WrestleMania poster, released yesterday - aka International Women's Day. One of the matches advertised is John Cena and Nikki Bella, a real-life couple, teaming up in a mixed tag to take on another real-life couple in The Miz and Maryse. The idea is the men and women are partners, equals, a team. So, why is Nikki all the way in the back and so far away from her boyfriend? Don't get me wrong, I understand Cena is the draw and the marketing calls for him to be featured prominently on such a poster. But something about this, to me, just isn't a good look; arguably tone-deaf. I'm not one to start boycotting the show or WWE, as I think this may have been an innocent oversight. But especially if it was, I think this is a great example of why we all need to try and do better.

"Cut the music! What I'd like to have right now..." is to take a moment to mark out for the announcement of "Ravishing" Rick Rude's induction into the WWE Hall of Fame. Simply ravishing, truly underrated. His health and employment history was inconsistent, so his work sometimes gets looked over on the list of all-time greats. But you're talking a fantastic look, commitment to the gimmick (look at those abs!), and a dude who could sports-entertain effortlessly. Every shoot story I've heard about him also suggests he was, maybe surprisingly, one of the most stand-up guys you could have in a pro wrestling locker room; a real brother in arms so to speak. And shit, I'll cop... what a fucking babe (my favorite Rude-ism: "I get more ass than the toilet seats in Madison Square Garden"). When he died in 1999, ECW did a ten-bell salute at their next show that weekend in Queens and The Dudley Boyz even broke character to kick a few fans in the front row out for not standing up out of respect for one of the best career heels of all time. The WWE HOF has been in for this Rude Awakening for a loooong time. Well overdue and deserved. "... is for all you fat, out-of-shape Philadelphia sweathogs to keep the noise down while I take my robe off and show the ladies what a *real* sexy man looks like. Hit the music!"

The most understated "did we just become best friends?" bro-mance in wrestling, IMHO. With a Wolverine/Spider-Man dynamic, these two had to have empathized with each other's toxic relationship with an egomaniac (with Hulk Hogan and Lex Luger respectively). I love these two together.
