Happy Birthday BRIAN MAY // July 19, 1947.
HAPPY 76TH BIRTHDAY, BRIAN MAY!
Brian + words used to describe him
Oh, so many years have gone, though I'm older but a year.
Roger’s badge reads “Listen To This Badge”. I remember that from 1975. The 14-year-old me thought that was so cool.

I was watching some lesser-known interviews Brian did in the mid-late 80s, early 90s, and I found this one: youtu(.)be/-c0_nikPfKo?t=57. I've linked it the moment that made me go 👀 because Brian literally says, "Well, I don't want to sleep with the guys,"—it comes across me to as him brushing it off as a very 'haha, imagine wanting to sleep with your bandmates/friends....unless' moment. I'm still reeling from this.
Hm yeah, that's definitely amusing, especially considering that he shared rooms with Freddie for the first few years and seems to miss that now. In general, Brian does have a way of talking about these sorts of things that always makes me go, "Sir???"
"My body reacts totally heterosexually."
"I've always been heterosexual."
"I've had many problems with my heterosexuality."
[about gay sex] "Well, I don't know how that works..."
"At the beginning, we weren't really gay, but then one of us turned out to be, I mean—"
"It's gonna be heteros for gay or whatever, you know."
Howard Stern: "I always thought you were gay." Brian: "Well..."
It's all awkward, let's be real. Some things he articulates very well. His own sexuality is not one of them.

THE UNSUNG WRITING ‘PARTNERSHIP’ OF MERCURY-MAY
I think what you’ve got with Queen is the Lennon-McCartney, the Buckingham-Nicks, the Townsend-Daltrey… You’ve got the two people in Freddie Mercury and Brian May who actually couldn’t really have done it on their own and needed each other — Trevor Dann
