heyo! I'm Marshall, aka LuckoftheDrawer, I use any pronouns! I'm a writer on Ao3 and an artist, but this is also my only blog so you may see some shitposts thrown in there, too. oh and...my artstyle changes a lot. I still haven't nailed down one that fits me. you'll also mainly just see sketches because I suck at rendering/lineart. this is my first time doing a proper intro post so just bear with me here while I try to figure out how to do this...

I have this on Ao3 as well, but I'll just say it here too: this is a blanket statement stating you have permission to create anything based on my work, so long as it is not made with AI. the use of generative AI to create fan work is abhorently wrong on so many levels, so I would abstain from using it. otherwise, I will happily take down the AI's work if I find it. and no, it isn't your own work. stop lying to yourself.

I know I'm kinda late to the party but I think it needs to be said that block tales is just falling flat on its head with demo 5 and its rewrites. BUT! you have to really wonder: is it intentional? I have a crackpot theory (that I feel like I might've seen online already?) that the devs are purposefully changing the game so that it feels more corporate/appeals to a larger audience because they're trying to highlight how that can negatively affect games and their communities. like, picture this: the mysterious figure and their cronies are actually just regular people that are fighting against the corporatization of the platform, and we as the player are exactly the type of person that perpetuates the problem. we buy into whatever shedletsky and builderman say because we love their platform, and even if we don't internally agree with the changes being made we are suporting them because we are doing nothing to stop it. we are playing their game. even when block tales gets worse and worse with its writing and updates, we still came back to it because we loved what it was before. and that, would be a genius turn of events that unfortunately I don't think will actually happen. if that is the case though...holy dude. respect earned

do yall think that eridians have food scientists and chefs just like we do, but instead of it being considered an art or more well-regarded it's seen as an equivalent to something like plumbing? like honestly those two jobs are probably viewed as one in the same because of how their bodies work and stuff, but it's probably not a job that most eridians would want to do. they most likely don't view the food itself as being inherently unclean or anything, but just the association of it and the activity of eating is not pleasant to most people. like now I wanna know what eridian work culture is like, because they probably don't operate on the same economic system we do (if they even use any kind of currency, it's hard to say). if they do have socioeconomics like we do then would being a chef be the same as a blue-collar job or would it be extremely high-paying because it's a job nobody wants to do? this was a shower thought I had and now I'm lwk interested in this holy
