Life was easy when you were small. Sneeg had no job (well, maybe one job), no worry over needing to build an actual house, and he had an incredibly easy time sneaking around in places he definitely was NOT supposed to be.

Speaking of which, it was currently constructing a tunnel that led right into Ran's weird-little cave house. It had been inside enough times to know that there might be some things worth "borrowing" inside, and-

Clack! Stones skittered their way across Ranboo's floor as he finally dug his way in. He was right under their bed now. The perfect spot, as decided by a few minutes of planning.

Sneeg crouched, then slowly shuffled his way underneath the bedframe. Not too much dust, and not too damp considering its location. Ran must pay close attention to the upkeep of her house. He'd need to remember to build some sort of door to his little moth hole after this.

The cool air of her mandatory summer-winter-fall-and-spring-villa breaths against her skin as she makes it back through her portal. A comforting contrast against the agonizing heat of the nether. She shifts the pile of treasures in her arms and hurriedly dumps it all in a chest before she drops any.

Surely a couple of diamonds and a stack (or two) of iron is plausible enough to slide under any radars. People go out resource gathering all the time! Not her though. She simply could not BEAR the hours of grueling work this time. It would be unbecoming of her!

Gem double checks the chest to make sure gem got everything. She looks satisfied for a fleeting moment before seemingly realizing something and groaning unhappily.

"UGH! Of COURSE I forgot the emeralds. Now I have to go AALLL the way back and—" She rambles on, grumbling under her breath and turns towards the portal once again. Just her luck.

When she's just about to be sent through before she notices, a pebble, just a couple inches from the underside of her bed. Quickly, she steps out of the portal and approaches the suspicious stone. She just cleared this place out yesterday!

Sneeg watched from under the bed, silent as could be. Ranboo had a secret little stash of goodies right over there, and, if it was careful, it could just- oh shit. She was coming towards its hiding place.

He downed some sugar and scurried out as fast as he could, making a beeline for the chest. He could probably run off with a diamond or two if he was lucky. Maybe. His secret tunnel was totally fucking doomed, though.

"Get burglarized, bitch!" It yelled, sticky little moth hands climbing up the side of the chest, and, eventually lifting up the lid just a pinch.

That little sliver of an opening was all it needed to dive inside the chest.

"HEY—! YOU—GET BACK HERE!" Just what she needed. Ugh.

Stumbling over the portal, she sprints as fast as she can to the chest. She gets there almost immediately, her legs are like 15 times as long as that things whole body. The trip was basically two mildly extended steps.

She slides onto the floor for efficiency and digs her arm into the chest frantically feeling for the intruder. Finally, she finds a slippery wiggly little leg and grips onto it as hard as she can. She wrenches him from her chest and shakes him around a little for good measure.

The puny wretch dirtied her dress! She huffs and dusts off her skirt as she rises to her feet.

"What the hell are you doing in here!" She interrogates, holding him upside down. She's not going to afford him the dignity of a conversation right side up. "You made me kneel on the cave floor! I could boil you right now y'know. And I should! Since you had the GALL to try and steal MY hard earned resources!"

She tries to pull off a friendly smile, but it's a little too sharp and strained to pass as inoffensive. Her mothers gave up on trying to correct this once she became a teenager and just instructed her to cover her mouth when she's delivering one of her essential conversation-smoothening polite giggles.

"Now off you go." She shoos. "Be grateful i'm not charging you for the damages done to my wall."

Clack! Stones skittered their way across Ranboo's floor as he finally dug his way in. He was right under their bed now. The perfect spot, as decided by a few minutes of planning.

Sneeg crouched, then slowly shuffled his way underneath the bedframe. Not too much dust, and not too damp considering its location. Ran must pay close attention to the upkeep of her house. He'd need to remember to build some sort of door to his little moth hole after this.

Surely a couple of diamonds and a stack (or two) of iron is plausible enough to slide under any radars. People go out resource gathering all the time! Not her though. She simply could not BEAR the hours of grueling work this time. It would be unbecoming of her!

Gem double checks the chest to make sure gem got everything. She looks satisfied for a fleeting moment before seemingly realizing something and groaning unhappily.

"UGH! Of COURSE I forgot the emeralds. Now I have to go AALLL the way back and—" She rambles on, grumbling under her breath and turns towards the portal once again. Just her luck.

When she's just about to be sent through before she notices, a pebble, just a couple inches from the underside of her bed. Quickly, she steps out of the portal and approaches the suspicious stone. She just cleared this place out yesterday!

Sneeg watched from under the bed, silent as could be. Ranboo had a secret little stash of goodies right over there, and, if it was careful, it could just- oh shit. She was coming towards its hiding place.

He downed some sugar and scurried out as fast as he could, making a beeline for the chest. He could probably run off with a diamond or two if he was lucky. Maybe. His secret tunnel was totally fucking doomed, though.

"Get burglarized, bitch!" It yelled, sticky little moth hands climbing up the side of the chest, and, eventually lifting up the lid just a pinch.

That little sliver of an opening was all it needed to dive inside the chest.

"HEY—! YOU—GET BACK HERE!" Just what she needed. Ugh.

Stumbling over the portal, she sprints as fast as she can to the chest. She gets there almost immediately, her legs are like 15 times as long as that things whole body. The trip was basically two mildly extended steps.

She slides onto the floor for efficiency and digs her arm into the chest frantically feeling for the intruder. Finally, she finds a slippery wiggly little leg and grips onto it as hard as she can. She wrenches him from her chest and shakes him around a little for good measure.

The puny wretch dirtied her dress! She huffs and dusts off her skirt as she rises to her feet.

"What the hell are you doing in here!" She interrogates, holding him upside down. She's not going to afford him the dignity of a conversation right side up. "You made me kneel on the cave floor! I could boil you right now y'know. And I should! Since you had the GALL to try and steal MY hard earned resources!"
